SHOT online review

so the other day i said F-it i loaded it up to see if it was any good.

first off for a free online game its graphics are good. i didnt take time to chat with anyone so i dont know if there are cool people playing or not. the controls for the differant ways to hit the ball are good and indepth.

the biggest problem i have is the physics are horrible. im on the tee perfect swing hitting the ball dead in the center and bam horrible slice. now next tee a little off from perfect swing and dead on center of the ball and presto straight line drive. also forget using a iron from the tee for a short hole hooks or slices no matter how you hit it.

if they fixed the physics it would be the best free game out there. in my opinion.::::20::::::28::

The physics are a joke and the physics is the only thing to the game, hence the game is ruined for me

The charging for double-xp thing is a bit iffy too, watching people lvl twice as fast as you isnt nice.

Actually I thought the same when I just began playing, but the physics are very precise. Wind factor has a huge effect on the course of the ball, beginner stats have very low Impact (accuracy), and the beginning clubs are at times unreliable.

When you align the shot "perfectly" you'll know because on screen "Nice Shot" will appear right as you're swinging and you'll be rewarded 200NG. A "perfect" shot isn't always perfect either, hitting it 100 percent for a shot that is a 40-42 percent power shot may make "Nice shot" appear, but you'll horribly overshoot your destination.

It takes a bit of practice to get used to how exactly you have to line up the shots. You don't want any of the club-bar to touch yellow or red (typically), and the line is the edge of the club (which varies slightly between clubs - especially woods and irons).

A couple of tips: backspin is your friend - especially while putting and never do anything with the 1W except for drive. To decrease your handicap you have to play 18 holes of a course.

There are a few percentage guides drawn up from various different guilds if you want to check out more accurate shots.

It's not that bad, something to take up my time until some of the new MMOs are released.

thats the thing i golf every so often in real life. i can use my irons in the rough in shot i cant. the little things about the physics they got going just dont add up to me. like the practice driving range no wind perfect swing goes left or right not straight.
