Here is another of the more VOCAL Fanbois that has decided to get a refund and leave D&L.

Not That It Matters -- I'm Out..
2 Pioneers, asked for refunds.
I once was a staunch supporter of the game and the vision but this
vision has been tarnished over the past year as well as the lack of
attention given to the state of the game, it's playerbase and the
support of displeased customers.
I wish no ill-will towards anyone here or abroad but for those of you
who happen to still remember the good days, circa 2-3 years ago, it was
fun. It was fun debating and waiting, and waiting, and waiting some
more. Unfortunately once the waiting was done it was similar to a punch
to the sternum.
I may stop in and out from time to time but at this point I've given
about all I can to the game and the non-response -- silence speaks
volumes to this old timer.
Fare well and may your journeys be short and rewarding!

I don't wanna hear any `I told you so's` from trolls or old fanboi's
gone bad the same. Do NOT use this or my experiences as a platflorm for
you bitch and moan sessions. Simply say your peace to me if you need to
but nothing more. No more pain.

Xanth made a complete fool of himself on these forums just a week or so before release. He constantly insinuated that he knew something about the game that we didn't. Like he has some inside track with the devs or the "secret" beta or something. Never once did he give any real evidence for his claims of the DnL greatness that all his comments implied.
I actually liked, Xanth on the offical boards back over 6 months ago now. But something happened when he made the transition to ultra-fanboi. It was an ugly sight. I hope he learned a lesson from all this. I wish him no ill will, as tempting as it is to say I told you so.

Whether you like, liked or dislike me matters not. My opinions as to the actions of many here and abroad with the constant continuation of insults and troll'ism towards the game was uncalled for.
Yes it didn't turn out how I had wanted to even expected, from this knowledge, however I'm not going to sit here or anywhere and bash what's left on a day to day basis.
My point, in many posts here and official forums, is the dream was crushed for many who, like myself, had waited for years upon years only to be astonished and sad about the final outcome which turned into pure anger and rage.
I was never one to dwell on the past nor the bad side of things and what I could never understand is the constant moaning, groaning and bashing towards the game when you never had a vested intrest in it. Stop playing, quit, get a refund whatever, I never cared, just know when the time is right and leave the anger and sadness behind you.
Indira you were always top on my list and I feel no ill-will towards you or anyone here personally. Most had not the info I had personally and at the time all ducks where in a row -- they dropped the ball upon release.
As I stated in that post, don't use this as a bitch fest or a platform of `Told Ya So's..` again I'm not into that type of banter. I won't frequent these boards again simply because I will have no vested intrest soon enough and that is enough solace for me to rest.
Again, like or dislike you knew not what I have seen, heard or read and I stand by my statements at those times of postings as well this.
Even if you have MORE Info than the rest of us, thats straight up FACTS that you already have and yet you attack the people you consider "Trolls/Hatebois/Etc" that has been showing their own facts about D&L.
Having access to these INFO that you have should have given you better insight yet you just act above and beyond EVERYONE else!
Its just sad that you insulted those same people when you already have the facts lying on your lap.
A simple apology would have been great but that seems to be too much for some ...

Agreed. No matter what, Xanth, you believed in a game that should have been great and tried your hardest to maintain that faith. Anything you may have said during that time in defence of the game were in no way the worst. There is no shame in putting your faith in the promise of another. I ask no apology of you and I too sympathize with you and everyone else who did their best to maintain their faith in the game despite the bungling ineptitude of it's developers. I wish you well and hope that you may find that you still have a place here amongst the rest of us. There are new games coming and each will require its faithful to push them on to success. One of those will be for you.

Just a FYI, my "I told you so" was not evil-spirited, it was supposed to be a tension-breaker. Ive also been burned/disappointed by games like Horizons, SWG, EQ. But dont despair, there are plenty of other games on the market. I personally play Titan Quest, a well done single player RPG game. Once Vanguard, AoC, War or some other new MMORPG comes out then Ill try those.

I think the key here is that a person with a lifetime free account has quit. I have a lifetime free account of Windows Pinball and I still play it from time to time.

I am also sorry about the fact that the poster that had described your e-departure as inflammatory, but it was the truth: If you hadn't wanted a response, then you wouldn't have posted.
Usually people that quit games don't do anything but give their assets to their friends and uninstall the program; speciously morose posts are not a good indicator of character, but a big road sign for attention.
