Chapter 2 Gift:

As a Chapter 2 publish gift, players will receive a Military Reactive Stim Injector. This item makes use of the latest advances in military grade bacta technology to automatically heal a portion of damage whenever the user sustains injury for a short duration. This item and others like it are currently in the process of being distributed to military facilities on the front lines of Naboo, Corellia, and Talus.

Expertise System:

We have added the Exciting new Jedi and Bounty Hunter Expertise systems. Please see the following Comlink's for detailed information!

Bounty Hunter
Jedi

Targeting Changes:

Three very notable changes are being made to the SWG user interface with the release of Chapter 2 in order to make game-play more fun for the user. These changes all work in tandem to create a more natural feeling interface.
  • The first change was revamping the existing “safety” feature and turning it into an automatic aiming system. When you have an intended target set and use your primary attack you will always aim for your intended target. Now it's easy to attack the right target in a crowd – but the use of heavy weapons may still attract unwanted attention!
  • The second change was the addition of an auto-fire toggle for your primary attack. When you have an intended target set and have auto-aim enabled, this will make you repeatedly use your primary attack against your target. The addition of auto-fire should free players up to more easily stay mobile and use secondary attacks This new keymap is found under the “target” keymap tab and is called “Toggle Repeat Auto Attack” – the suggested binding is to the tilde (~) key.
  • The above features required us to find a new way to select targets and potentially open radial menus so a new key mapping that does both was created. This key map will set the object under your cursor as your intended target and open the radial menu for that object. Attackable objects have to be clicked twice for their radial menu to open. This keymap is found under the “UI” keymap tab and is called “Select Target and Summon Radial Menu” – the suggested binding is to the second (right) mouse button. If you remap your right mouse button, you will probably want to enable the “Actions can be fired from toolbar” option in the “Controls” tab on the options dialog. This will allow you to use your secondary attacks and abilities by simply pressing the toolbar buttons.
  • If you are looking at your intended target, we now draw the intended target brackets as well as the look at target brackets... which are just a little smaller.

Control Bases to affect the Galactic Civil War!

  • Battle over the control of command bases against players and NPCs. These bases are located on Naboo, Corellia, and Talus!
  • Maintain control of the four, pivotal terminals (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta) to capture the base for your side.
  • Continuing to control a base will allow players to purchase rewards that further assist them in the conflict.
Character Appearance Improvements
  • With this chapter we have implemented the first of the character appearance improvements for the Twi'lek, Human and Zabrak races.
Quest Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue with Quest "Borvo's Guard - A trip to Corellia"
  • If you have finished the quest “Bluffing CorSec” from the CorSec Captain, and then deleted the quest “Borvo's Guard – A trip to Corellia” before returning to Naboo to speak with the guard that gave that quest, you can now re-acquire the quest from the guard. You can then return to the captain and he will see you have finished his quest then update the Guard's quest to the next step.
  • Fixed issue with Gendra in Mos Eisley that gated you when you respec'd away from Trader/Entertainer to the opposite profession.
  • If you were a Trader and started her quests, then respec'd to an Entertainer, you would be gated as Gendra always offered you the next trader quest, not the Entertainer quests. She will now offer you the correct Entertainer quest. The opposite is true as well, if you started on Entertainer quests, then switched to Trader, you were only given Entertainer quests. Now Gendra will give you the correct Trader quests.
  • Fixed many issues with old quests that had NPC's you were required to talk to that were attackable. This could lead you to accidentally shoot the NPC you were sent to talk to.
  • The CorSec space quest “Search for Shipment Orders” can once again be completed.
  • Tightened Spawn radius for Droid encounters on the quest “Working for Boba Fett” phase V.
  • Changed quests at Nyms to no longer require you to open the droid, computer terminals, gas filters, or the grenade case. You only need to click on them now for the quest item update.
  • You can no longer abandon Fate of the Galaxy, II. This is to fix a problem related to abandoning it.
  • Smuggling quest from Tarand will now update correctly if you launch from Gamma instead of Tansarii.
  • Clarified the description in the final task of quest “Doing Darkwalker Deeds.”
  • Rebel and Imperial sensor array quests should now be giving xp on completion.
  • Fixed Quest Gate with "The Road to Exemplar: The Final Battle II"
  • Issue was, if you failed the quest, the quest cleared and the NPC wouldn't grant it again. Now if you fail and return to Sertild, they will re-grant it to you.
  • Fixed some quests that had incorrect data. These quests were causing other quests to seem like they were broken. If you have a Syren Quest still active, it will be abandoned upon logging in. If you have one of the quests below active, they will be restarted.
    • The Minstyngar's Horn
    • Find Trehla
    • The Census
  • If the “Kick to Naboo” quest, granted from Watto, is still active in your journal and you have already started or completed the Naboo legacy quests, they will complete for you upon login.
  • Fixed bug with Pooja Naberie not giving you the waypoint to the RSF Terminal if you stop conversation prematurely.
  • The Merchants that spawn when Sean wins the Bestine election will no longer have code strings as their title.
  • Fixed issue with getting a 'use' option on the Theed crest reward from Hugo Eckner.
World/Environment
  • Mobs in the Mutant Bark Mite, Borgle Cave, and Kahmurra Biogenic Research Station are less likely to spawn right on top of each other.
  • Most Elevator buttons have been changed to only require you to click on them. There should be two buttons if you can go either up or down.
  • You should now be able to use abilities involving grenades, mines, and the supply drop on surfaces above the ground.
  • Decreased the loot percentages in the tutorial areas.
  • Pirate Captain in the Droid Cave on Lok can once again be killed.
  • If a city has Zoning rights enabled, you can no longer transfer the structure without getting rights from the Mayor or member of the militia.
  • Jetpacks are now less likely to get stuck in small arches.
UI
  • Clicking the "Help" button will now access our consolidated web-based interface for tracking issues and searching the Knowledge Base.
  • The Group UI is now slightly smaller.
  • You will no longer be able to bio-link an item that you cannot equip due to species restrictions.
  • The Master Bio Engineer badge will no longer show in the list of “Badges not acquired yet.”
  • Waypoints will now always be created at your current position when you use /waypoint command.
  • The keymap is now embedded in the options screen.
  • Fixed Bacta Haze description from displaying the wrong level.
  • Fixed Target Anatomy description from displaying the wrong level.
  • Fading now works correctly for the ground chat window now.
  • Signs and Billboards will now display a UI when you click on them to read. For example, try clicking on the big sign in front of the starports.
  • All weapons that modify stats should now make that stat value green in the character sheet.
  • Fixed Spelling error in Description of Elder Jedi Badge.
  • Droid Battery Life display now updates properly in the data-pad.
Space:
  • Fixed issue that caused you to lose your space mining resources; you will not lose them anymore when you attempt to unload them with a full inventory.
  • When viewing the contents of your cargo hold, you should no longer see code strings.
  • Disabled use of /unstick on the Avatar Platform.
  • Female Pilots will now correctly get the medal for finishing the Imperial Quest line.
  • Code string in Master Pilot missions will now display as Kessel once more.
Professions
  • Bounty Hunter:
  • PvP Bounty Missions:
    • The system will now attempt to give Bounty Hunters off-planet missions first.
    • If there are no off-planet missions, it will attempt to give one on the same planet but far away.
    • If there are no far off missions, it will randomly assign you a PvP mission.
    • SpyNet Operatives have gone under-ground; it has become too dangerous for them to be caught out in the cities alone.
  • Bounty Hunter Missions have changed and you will no longer have to find a SpyNet Operative.
    • Now, when you accept a Bounty Hunter Mission, a SpyNet Op will contact you. Upon contact, depending on the difficulty level of the mission, he will either give you the location of the mark, the planet and Bio Signature of the mark, or just the Bio Signature.
    • For those who are already on a Bounty Hunter Mission, and have not talked to their SpyNet Operative, you will be contacted shortly after logging in.
  • Smuggler
    • Camouflage Ally will now hide your ally for 15 seconds and allow them to move.
  • Spy
    • The Smoke Grenade Line will now root the user in place for the duration of the ability. This can be cancelled by activating a stealth skill, entering combat, etc
    • Spies will now throw a grenade instead of their weapon when they use the flash bang grenade ability.
    • The Spy's Smoke Grenade line can now be used when moving
  • Jedi
    • Force Cloak will now snare the Jedi and allow them to move hidden for 25 seconds. The reuse timer on this ability has been increased.
  • Entertainer
    • You can no longer stop Dancing by using the /stopDance command
Restuss:
  • Commandos of the opposite faction will no longer be able to destroy the other side's antenna by taking a mission and switching faction sides.
Miscellaneous:
  • Transport Skiffs can no longer be sold to Junk Vendors.
  • Lava Skiffs can no longer be sold to Junk Vendor.
  • Buffs from the Sith Holocron and the Shard of the Serpent are no longer on the same reuse timer.
  • Rebreathers can now be worn with Wookiee Armor.
  • Fixed Exploit that allowed you to use the Recruiters to reset negative faction to 0.

You can no longer stop Dancing by using the /stopDance command

I don't understand this implementation, what can come from removing the /stopdance command?

Just tried out the auto aim and target lock.

Its just like old times except u have to bind a key to auto attack. I bound it to E. Then every time i was was in combaat with something i had to target the mob then hit E to auto attack. Then when i switched targets I had to hit E again. I'd prefer to have an option to turn it on or off permantly but i can live with that.

    For once they listened

It is an odd one. Probably has something to do with the NGE interface that I don't understand.

It is a lot better but they really need to fix the UI so you don't have to key in aim, autoaim, autoattack every time.

I don't like having to key all that which used to be set by clicking on a target or tabbing, but otherwise the combat system is vastly improved.

As a Jedi, I NEVER run out of action now...  It's back to pre CU in that you can continually hit certain specials...

New textures look cool. Unfortunaly my Jedi on the TC is a level 5 so I cant check the Skill trees.

Also I noticed that animations were working. At first I didnt think anything of it because i have a mod that shows the old animations. But my SWG TC folder and SWG folder are in different directories under program files.

There were 5 things that made me leave SWG

    1. manual targeting..fixed
    2. not baing able to move with the mouse..fixed
    3. lack of professions..not fixed
    4. lack of diversity within professions...half arsed fixed, but at least an attempt
    5. how and when the NGE was forced upon the playerbase...they have acknowledge their mistake.

I will be resubbing when chapter 2 goes live to check the new stuff out. I may hang around a bit if I can find some non PvP stuff to do. Since the EMU is several months away I am hoping there is enough to keep me busy until then.

Funny thing, if they added a 10th profession, a Ranger/CH/Scout hybred, and the CH was like the revamp last year, I would probably not play the EMU.

I logged in to check out the character changes (how they look). Ewwwwww. Nasty!

Everyone is all muscular and faces are angular. Cant soften them up that I could see. Gross.  My Ent had six pack abs and legs and buns of steel no matter what I did. Eyes are all bugged out looking and have big bags under them.  Skin tone is really rough and sandpapery looking.  Just icky.  Only the texture of the hair is an improvement, because it looks now like it has some texture.  Characters are just harsh looking.

I love the new to me dances! Fun stuff!  Breakdance, Tumble and Bunduki(?) Too fun.  No tipping if you need the clone cure, just zoom in and back out to the battle you go, my Ent is in it for the fun of it.

Some actually look quite good, Some not so . But the girl in the last couple doesn't seem to be ugly or icky.

    Thats my TC alt

If you check the gallery, you'll find a better picture...forgot that I had set my photobucket to crop images over 512kb's.

I spent over an hour creating that tiny girl to be unique and look good and real compared to the average "shim" running around heh

Very interesting. Ill be awaiting some screenshots/more indepth info on the targeting system. Also those new character models look preety nice, kinna hard to believe the game is 3 years old. Having spent 85% of my SWG playing days as a female character it would be kinna cool to see if they can finally make them look different other than hair styles and age.

I feel dirty, so very very dirty. I resubbed.

    *sigh*
    Christ I'm weak!

It's just... every game out sucks. Anything worth playing is a year or more away and SWG has so many memories for me.

    I'm so very weak.

So they finally implement a system where the GCW means something huh?

    That only took 3 years.

8 or 9 months since NGE, and this is the closest to the improvement I could find.

The only new thing after all this time is the character art.

    And people are happy?

To those that use the UI mod, you'll need to upgrade it with Chapter 2.  Can be found here, http://files.filefront.com/ui_v92b_TCzip/;5283554;;/fileinfo.html
