could I run the game?

Could I run the game with these specs?

256 mb ram
64 mb graphics card
1.5 intel pentium proccesor

ALSO from looking on the site and stuff, it looks as if everytime they come out with a new expansion, it requires HIGHER computer recommendations. Is that true? ANd also. Do you think this game is better than lineage 2?? THANKS!

See www.camelotherald.com for the exact game spec requirements.

But I do know, the answer is NO.  The graphic card isn't enough and the processor is too slow.

No cluse since I've never played Lineage.  Although from what I've read about Lineage, it's not my kind of game.

The game is way better than lineage 2.

Your computer might be able to play the trial without the updated graphics.  However, besisdes the missing content and way outdated graphics, you probably will still suffer some performance issues.

Your CPU, while slow, should be able to play the game.  There are two things holding your computer back - your RAM and your video card.  Your video card needs to be directx9.0 compliant.  This means you need a Geforce3TI or above.  However, your card cannot have MX on it.  The MX cards were a huge customer rip off since they are only directx8.

As long as your video card is fully directx9, then you just need 256 more RAM and you will be able to play with the updated graphics.  You will still want to turn off all of the bells and whistles in the frontiers or on raids, because of your video card and CPU.  Ideally, if you can do it, get 1 gig of RAM.

As for why DAOC requires more than L2 - it is the graphics engine they use.  It is a resource hog.  Futher, the artwork they use tends to have a very high pixel content even if there might be another game that looks "better" but requires less system specs.
