Thinking of buying it...

in Guild Wars

I was a pre-cu SWG player and WoW player...

I was wondering if the game interface is comparable to those games? Do you get skills bars to setup, etc?

also...

How is the PVP/Fighting? Is it more like WoW style of fighting or is it more twitch based fighting like Diablo or something, more hack and slash?

I am really looking for pvp that plays more like SWG pre-cu/WoW did.....not a fan of the twitch style of fighting..

    also does it have social elements of the game like swg had? Where people would hang out and talk?

    In wow the social element is very low, most people won't talk to you

    Im also a pre-cu swg  and went to wow and im playing there now but its so boring now same old stuff wondering if gw or gwf is better thinking of buying gw first then if i like it geting gwf because from what i read you can move your gw to gwf later on. oh and one more thing SOE SUCKS

    I played a small amount of SWG, and the quest setup in that game really reminded me of the quest setup in GW. I'd say that SWG is very comparable to GW.

    As for just siting around and chatting, I've done that in pretty much every city, it just depends on who's there at the time you are. And, it's not like you anounce "I wanna talk to someone!" because those are the people that either get flamed or ignored in my experience.

    Also, GW and GWF are basically two stand alone games that work together. Doesn't really matter which you buy first, as you can just add the other one on later if you like. I'd recommend getting GW over Factions, though, as it's cheaper and more newbie friendly.

    As for the PvP, I'd say it's twitch style, but in a good way. Everything is super balanced, and max equipment isn't all that hard to come by, so you won't have to worry about "who ground the most levels?" because of the early level cap (L20).

    Yeah! this game is great! All you have to buy is the cd key and no monthly fees at all. I bought my key at gamersloot.net =)

    its absolutly free after u buy it!  NO 15$ a month.  Finally, the gaming fans can relax, along with their wallets and purses too! ^^
