Hello.
Would you recommend this game to someone who uses text chat only?
Are there major portions of the game that are inaccessable to someone who uses text chat only?

Since many players uses different voice chat servers, and are working toward the same goal.. Lots of info makes its way to the text channel/map. I almost never use TS, since i'm in a squad with fast speaking american, all the while bombs drops beside me, bullets hits mere inches from my head, or my vehicles engine is making lots of noise.. So i don't understand what they're saying anyway.
And i've done pretty good so far, through text chat only.
now my own questions: why can't you use voice chat and why are you posting this question in every bloody game forum on this site?

If you don't like it I don't understand..........
If you don't have a mic still use team speak if only to listen.
All you need to do is join the germans, we have had no TS for the last 3 days.
It's not as good though as it doesn't have all the channels the old one did.

That depends on what you want.
If you want fast paced arcade action, play bf2
if you want a war simulator that involves the airforce flying off to destroy enemy factories, movement of troops in a large scale (combined inf, and armour), and the possibility of the navy joining in too - give WWIIOnline a try.
Thats a simple answer - it would take too long too talk of all the possibilities.
Check out the feature on my website at the moment ... www.pillbox-games.com
Too much to answer - too lazy, and sick of repeating myself.
i like tac games.. where if you try that, i can shoot you while your going down or getting up.. and can sneak around .
- but about this game...
like if i blow up a factory in a bombing run, how long does it take to come back, and does it even hurt the bad guys?
or like are there commaners and squads and such?
FYI, it takes several bombers to hit a factory to take it down 0% output. Can't remember the rebuild time but I think it recovers 2%/15minutes. Don't quote me on this. It use to be longer.
It hurts the bad guys by 1) reducing the number of research, development and production (RDP) points generated hourly. 2) it also delays the automatic resupply timer from 4 hours to a maximum of 11 hours (real time). There are 3 cities for each country that has RDP factories in them. There are a total of 9 RDP factorys for each country, France, England, and Germany.
Each side has a high command of volunteer players. These players are incharge for moving brigades around on the map, adjusting the spawn types/limits for each brigade as per the RDP cycle and most importently they get blamed for when a very important attack/defense objective fails The high command also communicates with all the different squads (guilds in other MMORPGs) and organizes masive grouped missions.
Check this link out, I've recorded all of my organized bombing mission for the current campaign that is still playing.

Defending fighters is still a great danger to bombers at any altitude.
With the new technology of STO will it be possible to hit target at 10,000 meters. Keeeen!
