MMMORPG SUggetions

Hey. I am looking for a new MMORPG. I am looking for one that lets me solo. I just do not care much for partying with other people. A game where I can do the usual slay monster, raise skills, ect. is kinda what I am looking for. Any suggetions?

It would really help if you'd list what you've played.

Why an MMO if all you want to do is solo?  To show off your toon?  Why get a game that requires a monthly subscription so you can play by yourself?  I'd suggest just getting a single player non-mmo like Guild Wars. But, if you insist on getting a game requiring a monthly fee so you can show off your toon to others, perhaps you should try DDO.

I knew someone would chime and say something like this. I want an mmorpg because I still like to interact with people. Making friends and talking to people is something I like to do. The real reason I don't like parties is because of the end game activities...nothing like having a giant set of rules on who can get what. That is not my idea of fun. Not to mention the drama can follow if something goes wrong. I also like helping people out. Just so you know Guild Wars isn't a single MMO...and thanks for your suggestion I will check it out.

I thought DDO pretty much required team play? That's what I've heard, anyway...

Can, and pretty much have to. May as well try it, though. I mean it's free... You should try Anarchy Online. It's free to play until sometime next year, and it's pretty fun.

I play GW solo all the time.  Interesting you can not solo it.  They even place henchmen in to help you along if you like.  If that is not solo, what is?

As for your explaination on grouping- I can understand that.  Hats off to you.

DDO just implemented solo content.  I do not play it and can not really say if it is good or not- I've only played to level 2 and hated it.  I just threw it out because they are boasting the solo content availible.

Interesting suggestions I will give them all a try.

As to GW...when I played the henchman were just blame dumb and that wonderful glitch where they go running off into oblivion and then get stuck. I will reinstall and give it another whirl.

    Guild Wars is an mmorpg.

Guild Wars was more fun than DDO even though DDO has 3 times as much content.

Some people claim to have completed GW using henchmen, personally I think the very end needs real players as henchmen are level capped at some points and cant possibly follow the instructions you need to give but they are not as bad as you exaggerate either.

Diablo II ain't a MMO, and forget about the solo part in FFXI. I would say runescape or guild wars are your best bet for what you're looking for.
