I think Vanguard has most of what you are looking for. Not all, but most.

How is Vanguard even remotely animé-styled?

I said most of. I dont think they were listed in order of importance. I was thinking in terms of being closest to on a whole.

another most but not all would be Ryzom... there is player housing but its very umm unexciting, and its more fantasy/sci-fi.. there is an unlimited free trial though so might be worth a look :)

The items of importance wasn't intended to be listed in order of importance.  I just listed them in the order they came to my mind.  I'm looking for something that would have a "best match" or "closest match" taking into consideration all items as a whole.

Thanks for the recommendations!  Ryzom didn't appeal to me much for some reason so I guess I'll wait to see what Vanguard has to offer.  Although from what I've seen so far it lacks the first two items, but seems to be doing okay with the other items.  If they just tossed in a bit more sex appeal then perhaps this will be the right fit for me.

Well out of all the things you listed i think you might like maplestory,it anime based very customizable which i liked. It has good party quests, very cool and extensive lists of skills with 4 different classes (mage, thief, warrior, and ranger)plus once you reach a cetain level you get to specify a certain type of thief or magician ex.thunder mage.It does have a player driven economy and is based basically on fantasy. The down sides are that it does not have player owned houses and the enemys are kind of childish but once you progress you get to tougher things besides snails at lvl 1.But i am warning you it is extremly addictive and dnt get urself hooked on it like i did youll end up going over there game but good luck and i hope you read my thread might even help you out if i play again, moving on is a normal thing for melooking forword to my xbox360.

Oh yah,and you could get a gf on that game which i guess goes for your sex appeal to.

SoZ isnt exactly "Sex-appealing" imo, i dont see u listing "No grinding" so i assume u dont mind xp grinding and such

Systemholic Rohan (Japanese CB atm) fits....6/8 catergories, i dunno about player housing but there's a limited, yet very very nice character customization in that game. Also u can help build ur town and stuff so thats pretty kool, i guess...

Hmm i dunno when hero's journey's coming out but that game supposingly got a really good customization option

RF online and Lineage is probably the leader in Sex appeal, player driven economy, anime styled 3d graphics and fantasy.

Aion (by Ncsoft) is supposingly very nice in terms of graphics and game elements, and not to worry about sex appeal becuz NCsoft tends to make their female chars look like high-class sluts.

    cant think of anymore o.o

    Currently Out:
Best Match, imo:  EQ2...  Not anime style but one of the better games, graphically, out there.
    Others:
    Ryzom:  Housing is pretty lacking.
DAOC:  Not anime... not much sex appeal... but very solid game in all other areas
L2:  No housing, no real crafting... other than that it's pretty good in the other categories.

I don't speculate about games still in development because.... they're still in development.  Plus there isn't anything currently in development that's coming out anytime soon.

Rushin: When a game has over 100 levels.  That you have to level up in 3 separate categories (thus over 300 levels) and the only way to do so is to endlessly kill creatures.  That is a grind fest.  Ryzom IS a grind.  No matter how you slice it.   It's not a bad game... but you can't argue that it's not a grind fest.  Because it absolutely is.  That's not necessarily a BAD thing but it is a fact that Ryzom has a pretty long grind to get to the top, if that's your goal.

There are 250 levels in ryzom FOR EACH SKILL. There is nothing to break the levelling up - you just go out and grind and come back to twink when you can afford it. If youre majorly into RP you can do that but I *never* came across anyone actively rping.

YET... On the island there are quests that give a levels xp as a reward and there are named bosses you have to hunt for the quest. This is INCREDIBLY mis-leading, even to someone whos been to the previous island I can see that this is quite obviously intended to draw in WOWs userbase.

I love how you call me an idiot because youre completely incapable of formulating a counter argument.

Age of Conan is due for release december of this year, it easily matches all your criteria except for 1 and 8, it has highly realistic graphics instead of anime, and a Mythos setting instead of true fantasy

No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.
