What Eco do you prefer

Hello,

I have been thinking this for sometime now, i am producing a MMORPG and i was looking into the money system for awhile now. The easiest option would be to have money just like 99% of the games out there. Or having the money so that it is real money, players can add money into the game or withdraw money.

This allowing them to make money by crafting items and then selling them etc

Which do you prefer?

    Money like 99% of the games out there. Making the game run on *real* money...sheeesh. And you think people never stop whining about RMT *now*...

    im just looking for what people prefer, i personally think that just game money is good and works and alot of the real money games currently out are not fully developed to help players make decent money

    so im kinda torn i know alot of players like just game money but others do like real money so im just interested in what people like more

    Play a MMORPG for real money sucks.  Think of all the hacks people will make and the sceems people will do.

    I think you will wait a billion years waiting for somebody to design a real-money MMORPG that's developed to help the *players* make decent money.

    Honestly, do some of you people think that there's people out there just dying to give you money for playing MMORPGs, if only you could find a way to make the connection? There's not. Get over it.

    The guy just wanted to know what money system would give him the biggest user base, nobody likes to make games with nobody on them.

    *Most* people are very strict with their own money and will not like the idea of giving or being asked for more than a set fee per month. Especially if theyre using their parents credit card - imagine asking your mum for another $15 because you need new armor.

    true.

    i was mainly thinking of doing it game money, but i have seen alot of post about real money in games so i wondered what was most popular,

    Now i know i can stick to game money :)

    I like the botter economy.  One where there are lots of bots in a game; then they sell the currency for real money over the web.  That decreases the price of just about everything in game; but inflates the price of those several rare items from monsters bots can't kill.  This makes it so a skilled player can go off and kill uber monsters; then sell it for lots of currency(from the people who bought the currency).  Then everything is affordable for doing it cause the bots are flooding the market with common drops.

    ?? This creates hyper inflation making it MUCH more difficult for people in-game to acquire common in-game items. Although its a good point that rares also become rarer.
