World of Warcraft: Blood Elf Paladins, and Draenei Shamen

MeddleMeddle Administrator UncommonPosts: 758

Blizzard has released two interesting race/class descriptions. Both are based on the new races from the upcoming WoW expansion, The Burning Crusade. The stories in question bring to light Blood Elf Paladins, as well as Draenei Shamen:

As we draw closer to the release of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, more of the secrets shrouding the draenei and blood elves are being revealed. In the upcoming expansion, players will finally be able to play classes that were previously unavailable to their faction. The blood elves have harnessed the power of the Light for their own needs, and the Horde recognizes the value of these renegade blood elf paladins. Meanwhile, the draenei have been granted the wisdom and strength of the elements, and a number of draenei now follow the path of the shaman. Read on to learn more about the new class combinations available to players of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade.

Read the stories, here.

no one in game believed me when I said this (idiots) anyways I read the story of how this came to be on blizzard's website in the burning crusade section and boy was it hilarious these guys are worse at lore than shakira is at dancing the robot. I am sure many people are happy about this but I am sick of this game and I am sick of them adding nothing new to this game. My friends play it constantly and will not leave it for another mmorpg (I do not think they ever will) so I am forced to play this game on occasion as I have no alternative. Blizzard please either die or add something new so people bored of this "game" (more like job/life stealer) can see NEW things.

    "Shaman" singular
    "Shamans" plural

    Anyway.
Even though I constantly claim to be an avid WoW hater, I do have respect for the lore. If the game fails to feed you the right fun, playing it just for the sake of your friends will be the same as being in a relationship you can't stand. Just leave already.

The Elf pally's and Drae Shamans are supposed to have some "unique" skills. I certainly hope this is true because in my experience new skills simply translate to  some similar-worded exsisting skill, tweaked slightly or just a hybrid skill set of 2 or more classes not offering anything truly unique. My Ranger is capped and so is my War, War has complete tier 2 armor and Ranger just short of  a complete set. The new classes had better offer truly unique and useful skills or I will not waste my time on them when I could be leveling and aquiring tier 3 and any other new gear that will be apart of the expansion.

the topic isnt about me you do relise, anyway I didn't make my point clear, my friend (shall not speak his name) sees this "addition" as something new to the game. My friend "shaun" does not have a very social life and he plays this game the majority of the time this addition has just made him more addicted which is kinda sad.

I barely play the game, usually when I do it's only to get in touch with them.

I'm sorry I made it sound like your post was the topic. And I clearly missunderstood your post, resulting in a much harsher post by me.

I completely understand no harm done I didn't make my first post clear due to my anger ridden typing that was taking over my fingers I must have sounded like a fallen WoW fan. It is realistically not a very good game and the majority of it's subs complain in the forums because it HAS the potential to be a better game (maybe).

    Its interesting to read this
    http://forums-en.wow-europe.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-general-en&t=1151919&p=1&tmp=1#post1151919

Then you realize its not the same Blizzard who made previous Warcraft games and thats why you see these idiotic (at least for me) changes, i already sold WOW, no chance to coming back.

Thats not true...Warriors still have a much higher ability to grab and mantain aggro.

Horde having Paladins is a blessing as well. (although i think this is a blizzard cop out to fix the problems which will only crop up again later). Having both an alliance and horde character, Horde has a much tougher time in PvE (i play on a normal server) then alliance and this is because of the paladins.
