Im looking for a decent MMO, Ive tried WoW, GW, Quite a few others. Is this game worth the money it costs to buy + Pay for eahc month? If so, How is it , If not, How?
Well I was in the same position as you, I ended up buying it and I am enjoying it a lot. You only need the Kingdom of Sky expansion(bundled with EQ2), and it was not very expensive. Get a free month of playing too.
I am only lvl 50 now but there is definitely a lot of content in the game, it has a nice feel, lots of stuff to do on the adventuring side, combat is interesting (lots of combat arts/spells/etc).
There's also a pretty decent tradeskill system that was just recently made easier to get into.(i.e simplified)
The game is very pretty if you have the machine for it. Fortunately, you can scale down graphics if you want.
They also recently added PvP servers, which is the main attraction for me. Can't beat living in a dangerous world where you can die any second, but PvP is still pretty 'carebear' in that you don't lose much from dying to a player. Some interesting things include taunts that actually work in PvP(finally!!!!)
Overall, I am pretty happy with the game, lots to do, lots to see, LOTS of quests to do, and some pretty fun PvP(but primarily a PvE game)

The trial gives a very good idea of both the combat and crafting aspects of the game as well as the questing style of it. Try it, if you like it then you have your answer.

The trial gives you a good overview of the mechanics, it’s essentially a tutorial after all. It doesn’t give you a good overview of the game itself however. While it introduces grouping there is no little content designed for a group to spend more then a couple min on, there is no participation in the economy, the quests are all pretty linear whereas in the game you have many quests going at once.
Most importantly the goals in the tutorial are very simple, you learn to use your basic abilities and get off the island. Once you get into the game itself you have real goals you can be trying to achieve like increasing your completed quest count, finishing heritage quests for their rewards and trophies, leveling for those people into that, exploring, getting AA points, killing bosses in new areas, acquiring equipment, acquiring wealth, gaining enough guild status to support a really big house, leveling your guild, the simple cha-ching of a successful sale on the broker and so on.
The Trial does not do the game justice at all. To use a bad analogy, it is more like a whiff of the full game than a taste.
You can get an idea of the overall "look" of the game, the basic mechanics, combat, spellcasting and crafting but until you venture onto the mainland, form a party and explore a real "dungeon" you have only experienced a small fraction of what it has to offer. You can get a good idea of what soloing and crafting are like on the island so, if that is your main focus, the trial represents them well.
Everyone always mentions the trial in this game to people who want to know if the game is worth buying. I think that with any game the value of it comes from how much time you have spent on it, and how dedicated you are to playing it.
EQ2 is a great game all around. The trial DOSE show you the basics, and gives you an overall feel for the game "as stated above" yet the trial really dose the game no justice. To really enjoy EQ2, you have to get involved with the community. Most everyone now days that will be on the isle with you are alts of a lvl 70 who are just rushing to get off the island and really have no time, nor do they care to make time, to help newer players.
To truly experiance EQ2 you MUST get involved in the game outside of the island. Buy the game, subscribe for one month and they wont bill your credit card for 30 days. If you do not like it after the 30 days, cancel your subscription and all your out only $30 for the cost of the game..."but you still get to keep the cool little coin inside
