Nightfall aimed more at RP?

in Guild Wars

Reading the stuff on Nightfall it seems that it is focusing on the RP side rather than the PVP side like Factions did.  I enjoy the occasional PvP but play for the RP side mostly (I'm sure im in the minority there).  I have not got factions yet becuase it looked to be all about pvp.

Am I correct or not?

    There aren't many GW players like you, Deathstroker.  I also play for the RP, although I do enjoy the PvP side of the game as well.  When you say RP, do you mean it in the way that most people do, such as to develop your character and go through the storyline, or do you mean actually roleplaying, as in assuming the role of your character in the game?

    I am in a tiny guild right now, but looking to get into a bigger one that is more active in RP and also in PvP.  Do you know of any?  If not maybe we can start one?

    I have Factions but I usually play my original character, trying to find a group to finally complete my missions for the Prophecy campaign.  I also have an Assassin for Factions that is very low level.

    I've played Factions for probably around 200 hours now (over 100 of that on my 'sin), and only PvPed a couple of times. So I think you'll find there's plenty of non-pvp stuff to do.

    I don't think you're in that much of a minority, my entire guild, and many many other players I meet ONLY play the PvE part of the game (or only rarely dabble in PvP).

    i think nightfall will be kidna liek FAction Short - But im not saying factions was bad i jsut think they should work more an indepth story and make it longer.

    I think Nightfall will be more RP based but the only thing I'm wondering is are there going to be 2 more sides in a war. On sites decribing the game it mentioned stuff like that a couple of times, so intsead of worrying about the PvP I'm wondering is all the FFing and ABing in Factions going to be a waste of time when Nightfall comes out.

    Your poll is far too short, the GW games are not specifically PvP or RP they are a bit of both. To have the option of PvP, RP or I don't care does not give us the option of... "Guild Wars has amazing RP content that can keep you happy or allow you to feel your way into PvP and do both while enjoying the game." That is what GW is about and your poll makes GW seem like a two faced monster. Factions was not aimed at PvP, PvP was established in prophecies and the only thing factions added to that was new profs and AB. The storyline of factions was their main focus, the same thing will probably hold true with nightfall as they will be adding two new profs and probably some new style of arena play, maybe every man for him self or something? I don't know but I do know that no matter what if you like RP or PvP or both you are able to comfortably play any version of GW and enjoy it.

    there are 7 guilds in the allience im in , 99.9% of the members only play PVE

    if ur a RP'er then i suggest u get expantion!

    expantion has a lot more then just pvp... its got a nice story line etc happening :)

    Yes i know that GW is a bit of both. Ive been playering for over 2 months and about 40hrs a week. What the poll ment is Nightfall going to be more PvP focused like Factions or more RP focused and more into a storyline. Thats all the poll ment. What else could it have if it just ment for predicting how Nightfall will be.
