Next Blizzard Game

In lieu of recent discussion. Which one and why? ((MMORPG to me means persistant world)


i would love to see a Sandbox Starcraft MMO. If done properly i think the Starcraft verse would allow for a pretty indepth world and lots of content would be easy as the characters and diversity of units is pretty decent. Crystals and Vespene Gas and variations of such could provide currency just like in the RTS, 3 races , each with a good array of units and different combat type possibilities. From basic Marine to Ultralisk to High Templar. Space flight into a twitch base flight game inside (think JTL from star wars galaxies) the acutal MMO is a great idea that could be taken advantage of as well.


But seeing where they went with WoW.....a sandbox is probably out and a StarCraft ORPG is more probable3

what about you folks?

    A new starcraft RTS is way overdue.

    Blizzard, IMO, is focusing way too much on the Warcraft Series. Starcraft was a great game, and from a business perspective, the popularity itself would secure a lot of sales.

    Diablo was also a great game, and if they added a new one to the series I would be more than happy, but not as much as a Starcraft 2.

    With the cancellation of Starcraft: Ghost, I assume the WoW expansion is the next game to be released.

    One thing I wonder, is if Blizzard will continue to make Warcraft RTS games, since they are focusing on WoW pretty much 24/7 now.

    when did they cancel ghost? i was just under the impression that blizzard was doing what blizzard does and pushing the game back 2 years then releasing it. *cough* Diablo 2 *cough*

    Stop making things up, blizzard didn't cancel ghost. http://www.starcraftghost.com/ it would be on this website, it would be on Blizzard.com, it would be in a press release. Why would they go and add more units to show off in E3 and add multiplayer this year?

    As a matter of fact, on http://blizzard.com/ if you goto the front page, January 13th they just added 2 new starcraft ghost screenshots.

    Please don't post false information.

    Gotta hand it to Blizzard... they dont know how to make a failure in terms of commercial measures. im sure a Starcraft MMO would be huge!

    BTW Eks... Love your Sig! The Fallout series was SOOO good!

    lol thanks. Its one of my fav alltime series......and to think of it....a fallout MMO would be stellar too!

    Sorry about that -- didn't mean to upset you.

    I had been told by someone a while back that it had been, and I didn't investigate it much.

    Figured with the push back from the original release (around march last year?) that they had stopped developing it.

    It wasn't my intention to post "false information", it was just what I assumed to be correct.

    Wasn't really upset, was trying to defend my reasoning ;). Most of the time when people post opinios and information, they have sources to back up so (such as I did). I will say I was a little aggressive but thats because I've been hearing so much " Ghost has been cancelled " crap. Thought you were just jumping on the bandwagon. My apologies.

    So.. now.. uh.. 6 months later.. starcraft ghost IS cancelled, man do I feel like an idiot.

    I've lost faith in Blizzard. Although I would love to see a Starcraft MMORPG, knowing Blizzard, it'll probably a major raid-fest, rather than a FPS-oriented game it should be.

    Edit: I can see it now "LFM Kerrigan raid. Need 35 more and we're off! PST!"

    I'm ignoring your poll to say I'd like to see either a Starcraft OR Warcraft MMORTS come around. Blizzard does RTS very well and I could see them coming out with a very good functional MMORTS

    I'm questioning whether or not you like WoW because your avatar seems to be from the WoW game if i'm not mistaken, I could be though. If it is from WoW and your post seems to be that you don't enjoy WoW, just seems hypocritical is all.
