Favorite CLASS

Ok I just posted on the favorite RACE thread, now I want to make a favorite CLASS thread.

Mine is....

well it would have to be any type of mage. I often tend to enjoy the magical side of things with games. Ya I play the swashbuckler and such but mages  just always seem to be what I vision as what I want to play. Even in the books I read I tend to like the mage character the most, mage wizards druids warlocks...and so on and so forth

I like to play the weirdish "off" classes with the subtle and sideways skills, the ones that other people either feel are too complicated or underpowered. I find it satisfying to master these classes and turn them into killing machines....they're very deadly in pvp because no one knows what the hell to expect from you.

As an example, in WoW I played a Warlock, a Druid, and a Shadow Priest, and in each instance was one of the few people that championed these classes in the early days when they were considered totally useless in pvp.

In Guild Wars I'm playing around with Mesmers, Necromancers and Ritualists. I've found the Ne/Mes to be quite a fun combo to play. Admitedly I'm having a little trouble adjusting to my Ritualist, but I love a challenge, so I'm going to stick with it until I'm able to make it do the weird and cool things I know its capable of.

    Ranged classes.

always liked the forests around my house, made a bow and arrow when I was eight.

Then I found a computer and saw I didn't have ot go outside to be a master of the woods.

    Classless. ;)

But when I must choose a class...I go with something like Warrior. I love beating things up with big swords.

The Broadsword-Regen scrapper in City of Heroes is pretty close to my favorite class (hehe a melee ranger would be close-enough for peoples having no idea what this is).

I can vary my style and adapt a lot.  I have HUGE troubles to play the tanking machine however, not that I dislike that much tanking, it is just not what I like to do.  Have troubles also to bear a frail damage-dealer, again I can play something frail or a damage dealer, but the mix of both (wizardish) always leave me uncomfortable, when I deal damage, I like to be in a calvary-like position.

Any popular class for group purpose will be strongly considered.  Skill-based is for when I solo, when I group I never feel comfortable with an open skill system.

Well, normally if they do it right at least. I like the (Fighting) monk class. If I can't be that then I'm the mage or healer class.

    I ALWAYS play a support role. I.e. Healers,buffers, and pet classes. (clerics,summoners,etc.)

What a lame thread.  Classes are fucking shit.  I dont play a class, im Pre CU SWG hardcore.

Master Bounty Hunter, Master Pistoleer, Smuggler 0040.  I will not play another MMO that uses the out dated "class" system.  Which is why Eve and SWG are my only loves, oh how i miss you Pre CU SWG.

I'd go with hybrid/support. I enjoyed playing Cleric in tabletop, Paladin in EQ and Friar in DAoC.

Hmmmm, its a tough one but i usally tend to play either a Warrior, Ranger (hunter) or a Rogue of some type, i am usually always a melee character to, although i do somtimes enjoy playing a mage class usually one that can heal and buff to for example, EQ2s Furys/Defilers, WoWs Shamans.

If a game has guns in, then i am most definatly gonna be the class that has the huge machine gun or somthing :p.
