well inorder to become the archlord u just dont need to play alot. you also need to do quests and pvp, win pvp events, so someone playing alot does have an advantage and just being the highest level doesnt meen that ur the archlord. With that said i dont think the people that just grind the days away will always be the archlords. Also, im pretty sure you cant become the archlord 2 times in a row.

Yes, the same guild can become Archlord forever if they are able to defeat other guilds over and over again.

Archlord has lots of abilites, a dragon, weather controll, body guards, and something about a CAPS LOCK.

Congradulations on such a constructive post.

NO CONGRATS TO EVERYONE FOR POSTING IN ALL CAPS, WEEEE.

seriously though, I don't think that they are dumb enough to let an archlord do anything to break the game, game developers aren't retards

    unless they work for soe.

Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

Archlord seems pvp, but as always people with most times on there hand will probably be the archlord.

Let's remember that this game, thankfully, is open PvP and not restricted by race or faction. Having said that, politics will play a key roll in control of the world.

Imagine being in the Archlord guild and not being able to level because everywhere you go people are gunning for you.

Now, in a game where levels rule and levels=time spent, obviously those with the most played time will dominate, but if a server goes against you, it WILL be more difficult to level and retain your control.

The first guild to obtain the 'Archlord' position will probably go on a massive killing spree with the winning guild.

Well, they'd have to do it on the popular PvE servers as the PvP ones will be less busy, but hell they'd raise chaos. After that it'd be a serious matter of keeping hold of it.

it's been confirmed. There are NO PvE servers.

PvE servers are pointless in this game.

Now that's good news. I rescind my previous comments.

I hope all the PvP-lovers do exactly what you did in the beta; gank low levels. Repeatedly. Make them cry, moan and maybe leave. Get rid of them early or at least get them to adapt.

Because there was an equally strong anti-PK response, and that is what kept the beta going.

    Best news Archlord could receive.

    /sarcasm ON

I can tell you have quite the experience in buisiness dealings and customer relations.

Obviously you are such a fan of ganking, griefing and other harrassing playstyles that you do not see the detractor of that type of action.

You have a game full of griefers and gankers = people quit..

people quitting = less money paid iin monthly, less word of mouth customers

    less money = no support

    no support = no game

how about rethinking your attitude now?

Best news that Archlord could receive is people like you keepin your mouth shut..

Part of the beauty of open PvP is that chaos can lurk from very early on in the gaming experience. This gives those that want to fight for order a battle early on too. Without those two forces at play, the levelling up process is just a boring grind. It's great to make enemies early on and battle them as you grow.

Some of the best memories I have of PvP games is the enemies I made early on.

For anyone that played AC on DT, Hamburglar has his way with me on the beaches of Mayoi while I was in my teens. Og chased me all over the hills of Baishi when I was in my 20s. Those are things I looks back on and get a good chuckle about. And those two motivated me to get levelling harder so I could put up a fight.

I'm happy they decided to only open PvP servers. I think truly shows that CM believes in this PvP title.

One-sided ganker paranoia. Typical. Do you never see the other side?

Did you read my post? I also said there'd be a strong anti-PK response. Anti-PK! You know, the people you cheer when they kill the PK'ers.

With a community full of murderous PK scum, people willing to kill the PK scum and all the people in-between,it adds to the interesting experience in-game. For when, you know the grind gets a little boring at times.

And you have no choice in the matter anyway. With no PvE servers people who play Archlord are going to have to accept that some people will 'grief' and 'gank' in the FFA PvP environment, but that if they shout long enough the anti-PK presence will come.

And unlike the beta, said 'rogue gankers' will really feel the pain of dying in rogue states 2/3. You're more likely to see more people attacking same levels in the release.

Also,I'm not necessarily a fan of 'ganking',at least not excessively and on lower levels all the time. But I accept that some people will 'gank' in any PvP game, and that there is an equal anti-ganker response from the in-game community.

So people who have put up with the beta ain't gonna quit in release because of 'gankers'. New people will adapt in time also.
