hummm i got an email from code masters saying that MMORPG was gonna get awarded some beta keys and some contest for a video card....

Closed beta is coming up and will probably start in about a month. As they've promised the game to release in Q3 2006 (according to calender), which is in September at the latest, and the fact that they've said beta to be longer than it was for Rising Force Online, it has to start around start of August. We'll see...
my guess would have to be within the first 2 weeks of August the beta will be starting. With MMORPG.com offering the beta account give away+ the video card i dont that after winning the beta key they will make you wait more than a week or 2 to try out the game. Also if the game is sopose to be released by the end of september.....closed betas last at least 4-5weeks and then there has to be the open beta. so the closed beta starting within the first 2 weeks of August sounds perfectly fit for the time frame
yea closed beta will probably be about a month long maybe a little longer. im sure that the open beta will only been for like 3 weeks since the closed beta is sopose to be longer than the RFO beta. and to keep within there release date they wont have much time
Personally I hope CodeMasters will go for quality and not for a time-schedule.
Since the game is already running in Korea and China I presume that the technical problems are not the ones we have to test. The localization for Europe en US will be the important test-scenario.
Shall the beta environment be converted to the final version? And all beta players can keep their items and levels?

Some online stores are taking pre-orders, that's all. Beta will be completely free and all beta accounts will be deleted before retail.

Who knows when the beta will start?
Beta should start sometime around august - and testers wont be notified until the start of the beta...
I can wait to play it
