Hello All
Once again this is Force_choke and here is todays installment of THIS JUST IN.
There has been alot of speculation and rumors surrounding SOE and the overall future of SWG. The ducks have been losing some key players in their attempt to emulate SWG. Rumors are widespread that some of these Mother Duckers have signed on with SOE to help them with a pre cu SWG. Some insiders say that SOE is putting them on the payroll as "consultants"
Much of this speculation is due to conference call between SOE/LA and the Mother Duckers. Also the fact that the mother ducks posted the 2 major polls on their site asking their lil ducks if they would go back to SOE if they launched pre cu servers.
The second poll asked would you go back to SOE if the Mother Ducks ran the servers. This left many many lil ducks scratchn their heads and thinking WTF?
There are several ideas and rumors about what took place at this meeting. The two majority beliefs are.
1. SOE tried to offer some kind of deal with the Mother Duckers to bring back a form of pre cu to coincide with the release of SWG:COMPLETE
2. SOE told them it was ok to do the emulator but wait until the end of the year or at the beginning of the year. This would allow SOE to grab as much cash from the over inflated SWG:COMPLETE before closing the game down sometime next year.
Although SOE has announced that there will be no new gameplay with SWG:COMPLETE. Many insiders feel that they could add a classic version with
the release of Complete in very short notice if they have their DUCKS IN A ROW 
The fact of the matter is that there will be some kind of major news leak in the upcomming days, maybe weeks but it will happen. Everyone with experience with these kinds of issues knows that someone will spill the beens even in the least and it will avalanche.

Overall Forcast is cloudy (rumours) with some spots of rain (ducks and their fans). Possible storm brewing but there will be some rays of sunshine (Obraik and co)
IF your traveling to the SOE boards expect the temperatures flying high with lots of thunder. MMORPG expects to be a little cooler but again keep that lotion on because theirs always a chance for some sunshine and high temperatures.

sorry if we're not all uber programmers like you guys and have no idea what goes on behind the scenes....but some of us LOVE the pre nge swg and are very curious in what is going on.
But atm....you guys are no better than the SWG devs...keeping us in the dark and still have no idea whats going on.
just a little bit of info please for us die hard swg fans. /begs

and still the playerbase is left in the dark..either by the emu devs or swg devs...don't matter
while i appreciate all they have done for us, its stuff like being left to fend for ourselves thats pissin me off.

On the otherside if the meeting was just on Friday and things are still in the process of consideration why make a announcement?
Why not wait till the plan is put together in ready to go forward.
So I do understand why companies and proffessionals wait for a planned direction before announcing.
In this case I just hope it is sooner then later.
However I am not justyfing what SOE/LA did with NGE etc. That was well past planned direction and more or less this is want we are gonna do like it or not.

i agree this has been SOE's policy since beta & now even the EMU guys are saying "No Comment" how diffrent from SOE do the EMU people think they are (Both have really bad customer service) not a customer of EMU? then i ask you why they have a donation option?
Since the meeting 2 coders have been working on this, 1 was voluntary and becuase of dev support even they have given up for now - pro-Emu ask yourself why has development slowed after "SO CALLED" L.A meeting?
Im sick of hearing the devs are in it for the glory/fame i disagree they are in it for the future money they can get (add to C.V i coded an emulator for SWG here is my work on C.D) and what company is going to refuse!
If L.A offer a "Fair" deal no one in the right mind would refuse - both parties can keep quite but most know a little bit of human psychology and 99% of humans would'nt refuse an L.A deal.

Why does almost every single ex SWG player want the pre-CU game back? it was much better after the first CU.
or is this obsession with pre-cu all the kiddies wanting their "I win" doc buffs and compo armour back because at that point in time it took no skill to play the game.
wait in 30 min line for doc buff at MO on dant, or dath. get buff. join grind group and go grind endlessly for hours on end with a character who is a near perfect clone of every other defense stacked compo armour melee player
CU was better than that. was still bad but was way better.
why cant we just get an MMO that does the star wars galaxie some justice. one that is not run by a bunch of clueless chimps
