I am so glad to see that others have taken my place (and other banned persons) there calling for pre-CU on those boards. I was part of the last big purge of pre-CU supporters who would not back down.
The drum beats louder and louder it seems. You see new names calling for pre-CU all the time now. It's great! The seeds have become a sapling.

So as to help you out, I stayed until 6-27-2006 primarily for the sake of playing JTL and being a Shipwright, which was not hurt as badly as other professions by the NGE. I always enjoyed crafting. Shipwright was great fun to me, even after CU and NGE.
Pre-CU, my passion was Weaponsmith and I would have likely grinded to Weaponsmith when I created my NGE crafter if crafted weapons had not been made relatively moot. Plus the margins were too low post-NGE, which is the reason I took up Structures (Shipwright & Architect). Margins on Elite ship parts on Ahazi were great, so I could feel accomplished when I looked at my bank balance.
I'd probably still be playing if it were not for the assanine way I was banned. I have told the story numerous times, and almost everybody sides with me when I say it was rather unfair.
Make no mistake though. I am and have always been for pre-CU SWG since the CU hit Test Center.

and when I logged on today it said "we want you blah blah blah, pay 14.99 for first month and we will give you SWG:Starter kit... so thats now down another 5bucks for it..
might have to try it out

Not subscribing atm, but thinking about resubbing up (I almost embarrased to say so, hope none of my old guildies can hear me!).
I played pre-CU, then CU, and about a month of NGE. Yeah, it sucks now, but like alot of people I haven't found anything else out that holds my attention like SWG.
So I will probably sub up and pay for a month and then quit for another 6 months...it just burns me though to think that by paying them I might be hindering in some way the return of pre-CU. So flame on!
