This game seems like its gonna be more then just another EQ1, it will definitley be nothing like EQ2 cause the Devs had nothing to do with that. But Vanguard is supposively EQ1 with everything that was wrong - fixed! That is what their main aim is, for their games to be improved where the other mmorpgs (especially EQ1 & 2) had things wrongs. They also have some pretty awesome ideas such as the use of mounts, where your mount can be able to carry ur inventroy, if you are riding with your mount and see some npc monstors who give off good loot, you just dismount from your mount leave him by the road (probably hope he doesn't get killed) and kill the npc monsters while the mount is out of danger. Atleast it makes the mount feel more realistic that way, not like in WoW where the mount just vanishes ...I myself didn't like that. And by the way, supposively in Vanguard - SOH, I am sure that any npc monsters who do give off any good loot, are probably too tough for one person to handle...cause its not a solo friendly game....actually quite the opposite which makes me get even more excited for it Anyway back to the title, I am not playing anything right now....And the only game I would like to play is Vanguard SOH, which isn't out yet...So I got nothing to play. Somebody recommend me a gr8 game which is fun but not long term like EQ or Horizons. Preferably an easy to learn game which is mainly all about questing and fighting. Not Guild Wars, I played that enough :P....Try thinking of something else thanks Cya all |

I gave DDO a try, too. I'd suggest staying far away from it. Not fun at all.

I'll second the last poster's DDO comments. Its suxx0r. I've been having a hard time finding a good game to distract me until Q4 but surprisingly Auto Assault has been taking up a lot of my time recently. I played it during beta and then gave up on it. After growing tired of EQ2, WoW, GW and CoV I decided to give AA one more try. I'm actually having a blast now that I've given it some time.
Theres nothing like strapping a minigun and a macrolazer onto a truck that makes a Hummer look like a Ford Festiva then grinding a scav camp into the ground buildings and all. My main gripe was the low pop on the servers but now with the server merge theres people all over the place and I'm having a blast.
Hopefully it can keep me occupied until Vanguard or Age of Conan drops.
Guild Wars because it has this really good kill the vanguard quest (Demagogues vanguard)
I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.

i am playing wow again i have alot of friends in RL that still play and still have alot of online friends in my guild. so that is good enough for me, for a while at least lol
Heh, i ordered Final Fantasy XI, and while waiting it to arrive i started Ryzom trial...
Well, as you can quess, FF-XI is still standing on my desk in its wrappings and im off from here to grind me some more Kirosta mats
and yes DDO Sucked
Nothing. I'm still waiting for Vanguard. I believe,... It's worthwhile to wait!
Recently went back to play Asheron's Call again. Pretty sure this will be my last look at the old game.
It's fun but, frankly, the graphics are so bad compared to newer games it seriously detracts from the gameplay experience on the whole.
Well, it's had a good run, will probably exist for a while longer -- but I would be ready to play Asheron's Call 3 if they ever grow the nuts to develop it (which I think they won't). Took a while but I finally forgave them for making Asheron's Call 2 (what the hell were they thinking?).
