Well, if its an Intel or AMD makes no difference on compability with the game. Since they just mention P4's I think they mean a you should have the lowest P4(dunno what speed they start at) or faster. AMD uses the 2500+,2600+,3200+ Numbers just to tell you a comparison with an Intel chip.. In other word you're running a chip comparative to a 3,2ghz Intel, even though you have a lower frequency.

So yeah.. you should run the game great according to the games requirements :)

you should be fine with that chip it may be a little slower but no biggie

Lol. Relax, you'll do excellent. They recomend you to have something like a 1200+ or less, to use amd numbers. Yours is way enough.. only thing you could have that is better than your current is a 64bit cpu.

You have a high end CPU, you're fine in that respect but on the other hand what vid card do you have?

It could aslo mean it was tested on pentiums or that Intel paid them to mention Pentiums specifically.

the processor you have will run the game fine. But if your vid card is useless and your memory is not enough, then your PC wont run FFII very well at all.

But i think by your post that you have a fully built system from somewhere maybe like Dell. So a system built with a 3.2 P4 should run FF II perfectly.

Runs perfect. Don't believe those ads. 90% of the NVIDIA THE WAY IT'S MEANT TO PLAY games run fastest on an ATI Radeon 9800 XT. image

I have a Geforce FX 5200 will that run it well?

    It'll run fine.

Seen it run fine on an AMD 1800xp and a GF3 TI200 so you are good to go.

    I have:

    AMD Athlon Barton 2500+
    1024mb PC3200
    Ati Radeon 9700 128mb ddr

With this i can runn the game at 1024x768 with 1024x1024 texture rez. It does slow down when there is much stuff showing at the same. If u want the best performance u have to buy an relly expensive comp but thats just stupid.

And i think your gfx card will run the game pretty good. Not the best of cards but it'll probably work fine at 800x600.

  • I would just like to say, that it will be 2-3 years before the stuff on your cpu gets outdated, dont sweat it. Almost no games "cannot run" if you have a certain type of hardware, concentrate on the p0w4 of the harware and you'll be fine.

(also im running it on AMD XP 2000 and a Geforce FX 5700 and it runs great the only thing I see is that in densely textured areas I see a slight slowdown in framerate but thats all processor, yours can and will run the game at the highest specs at a constantly good framerate. Stop sweating it!)

    I run it on a 2400XP+ with 512 MB DDR and a Radeon9700 128 MB.

It works like a charm. Maybe even better than any P4 witn Nvidea ;-)

Don't Worry ! You better worry about your internet connection :-P
