Horrid game

I tried this game a while ago for the 1st time and I barely made it past the charactor creation screen. The graphics are just plain horrid, anyone looking for a new MMO these days are not going to play this. I could not make a charactor that looked anything near what I wanted. After making my charactor I was dumped off at this beach and was quickly attacked by beach leaches. I used my gun and it was like shooting at the aliens in space invaders. There was a bossy GM there on the beach too barking orders at newcomers. Planetside own this game.

LOL. Did you even learn anything about the game before you installed it? If you had, you would have known that everyone thinks the graphics are weak and that the game is not a FPS.

Just have to love those idiot's that judge this game after 1 hour play

When I played the game, it was much more like Pac-man than Space Invaders. I perfer Pac-Man's gameplay so it was a perfect fit. But I got bored of Pac-man. Those ghosts can be a real pain and I don't care much for Blinky.

Seems like you didn't even play it. You probably jumped off the game before the first quest and came here to bitch about the graphics.

Also, shooting like "Space Invaders" is that a flame on the graphics or the gameplay? It is auto-aim, THIS IS NOT PLANETSIDE. They are not even the same type of game so I don't know how you can draw a comparison.

This is a 5 year old game and IMHO this is the best game out at the moment. Fortunatly, the steep learning curve gets rid of the usual people that complain because the graphics aren't UBER.

Ah man. I could go to town but I cba anymore. This guy didnt even try to play the game and the game is currenly free for 7 months with no auto-charging afterwards so hell - unless youre on 56k and dont like mmorpgs - just ignore him and give it a blast. It has a steep learning curve but he obviously attacked something and couldnt be bothered to uncheck the ENORMOUS attack recticle in the bottom right.

Planetside sucks - been playing it for years but never have fun on it. If you want bossy try the CR5s that tell 150 people to 'shut the hell up and get to the base'.

I've played plenty of MMOs, noobs. Lineage 2, WoW where I'm in an uber Naxx guild, and several others. This game is trash. I couldn't figure out how to get off that stupid island or I would have. I wanted to go do some pvp but couldn't even find my way around. Graphics are an abortion too. Combat was terrible only autoattack with a rifle and you almost die every time.

Well, that's because you obviously have a low gaming ability. It's okay, nothing to be ashamed of. Some people are good at complex games, others can only play WoW and DnL. OH! DnL!! You wanted to go do some PVP, really ? did you pvp as soon as you started on L2 and WoW aswell, seriosuly your clearly showing that your a moron just by posting this nonsense, the lin ei enjoyed most was "graphics are an abortion too".

I didnt like Anarcy but it was just because I was angry at Planetside cuase it had such a big learning curve, And I didnt have the paitence to go through another one of those o_o

I can see how the game would be fun though .

So you spent a whole 10 minutes on the game and decided you hate it because the graphics weren't state of the art. That's pretty sad.

Maybe graphics is a little old but i really like it and you cannot compare AO to WOW or something because its different game. I like AO because of this what i can do in game not because of graphics.

People that complain are a bunch of idiots who think they are so damn smart. The people that argue with them are another bunch of idiots that think they know everythign about the game and how beutiful it is for everybody.

Truth is there are mixed feelings about games as there are mixed feeling about anythign here in life. Trying to explain to someone this game sucks or this game owns is like trying to get a snake to talk. LOTS of work and no results.

Have you ever seen a nice woman and thought "OMG she's beautiful". You show her to your buddy and he says "I don't like her". Same thing with games, you morons!

Some people play a game because it has amazing graphics and that apeals to them. Other play beacuse of the playability, other for the skill system and other play socially.

If one thinks this game sucks there is no way in hell you can convince him/her it doesn't. No mather what you do.

One can be smart when he/she talks on this forums. I ex. "The game seem allrite but i'm a graphic guy and i play if the graphics are realy cool, so i'm afraid this game isn't for me." Or "I really love this game because of the skill system that is propably the best outhere, the graphics are old but that's doesn't bother me."

Those are discussions held by a mature people that know that everyone has a different teaste and different way of looking at things.

Quit working yourself up over nothign and grow up.

Guess what... this isn't a "new" MMO. I think most people are reasonable enough to see that. It is a very in depth game, and a decent value, considering you can play for free, or get all the expansions for roughly 7 bucks a month without any charge for the client.

I think it's pretty funny that you feel educated enough about the game to call it horrid, but by your own admission you came to that conclusion within a few minutes of gameplay.... while you were still in the tutorial area. Graphics should really be a little less important than gameplay, in my opinion.

PS... planetisde is terrible, terrible game.

It's no all about the graphics, I never said it was. The GAMEPLAY was horrid. Shooting guns not being able to kit. The graphics being terrible were just the icing on the cake. I could not make a decent looking charactor, they all came out looking stupid and in an MMO you should be able to have an avatar you can be proud of not some pixelated mess. /spit on AO players /spit on this game. I might install it again and give it another try because you all talk like it's so pwnzor. It better be better than I remember it. Only reason people play this game is because it's free/cheap so it's friendly to mommy's budget. We adults, who have the money to play what we want will made a superior choice and play quality games.

I pay for accounts for my son and myself, we pay monthly. We could be paying the same amount to play woW, or any other regular priced MMO. We have played a few others, and I agree that initial character customization is a little limited, but the game is a constant character progression, with the ability to fine tune the look you want over time, and change it when you feel like it. If you can get over the graphics for a few minutes, look around at the toons in a crowd. You will see that there is visually a lot of variety. The range of options is so broad that if you couldn't come up with a look you liked, that would look to me like a problem with you... and not the game.
