From July 28th-30th GW is having an open BETA weekend where they will be testing Guild Wars Nightfall. Anyone is able to get an access key and I recommend that people who are interested in Guildwars get one because there is no free trial.
i see this guys advertising new professions when its clearly the last thing we need..... shesh Come one, what i want to know is, will there be a new trade systems? more guild option? how many new skills? hoe many new arenas? what is the new continent? what are the changes to the game system? now they send a news release saying there will ne a new gw and it gonna have 2 professions? what do i care??
You could give me 50 new professions, without a new pve plot I dont think Im going to buy any more guild wars expansions :P

I agree and I disagree...I actually never even purchased Factions because I disliked both character classes, and at the moment I still don't "love" my main char because well frankly he's not exactly what I want to play. In EQ I play a Shadowknight and love the character because of his tanking abilities and that he wields a scythe. So for "me", this new class of reaver actually excites me and could get me to purchase the next expansion.

there needs to be a level upgrade i mean come on level 20 it gets mondane just staying at 20 when all other games are to 60s and 70s when will they add the levels needed ...
Actually people are complaining about the lack of professions in GW all the time so clearly adding more is not a bad thing. Obviously they don't need to expand the grind because that isn't the point of the game, and yes there are games where level cap is 400. They may be adding auctions/personal stores, how do we know, I simply don't advise complaining about it until they actually release it. Also alot of the questions be asked have already been answered, there was a full interview on gamespot and in the 13 seconds it may have taken you to ask what there is going to be you could have googled it and found out for yourself.
Guild Wars is over-rated in my opion. I think its to easy to lvl, and i wasted my time. When i swiched to World Of Warcraft, it was still easy, but just more fun dunno why but didnt like GW much and nightfall beta=worse me thinks

how the hell would you know if it was worse? we have gotten no information so far and you are basing this on nothing, these bs posts are the ones that piss me off the most!
Ionno, guild wars would honestly be WORSE with more levels. It may be easy to get to 20, but would getting to 40 be more fun then just being 20 and doing 20 stuff? Not really. It'd just make pvp more unbalanced.
actually the expansion is old news and btw there are 2 expansions do out they are 6 months apart nightfall is the first. Not really considered expansions considered campaigns.accourding to them one was suppose to have a african like setting and the other i dunt remember.
For a game which is supposedly all about PvP, not PvE, I have to say I didn't find the PvP very interesting (or rewarding). Just wish another MMO did the world PvP system similar to the old UO one..
GW is my favorite game, but see when the first GW came out, in a matter of time it was a big hit, after a while factions came not much of a big hit. Well I own both games but the second one... the story line was way to short and they map was not as big as the first, and I just relized about a few months ago, lets say 3-4 months ago all the cities and outposts in GW were crowded, now theres barly anyone in the game expect the main cities that trade and sell, maybe in daytime theres some people but nighttime theres no one, before it always was crowded.
So my point is that GW is slowly looseing people, nightfalls not gonna be as good- reason, the 2 new chars, 1 looks cool but it is like the worst class ever, I unlocked most of the skills most of which is wack, and he other one looks like those old roman people with a spear and sheild wearing a skirt, to me thats pritty fruity, this char has some pritty nice skills but the looks just killed it. well for ever person theres a point were they draw their line for something, here were I draw my line for GW. I will wait a month after nightfalls realesed, after so i will watch gameplay vids on youtube and see the game map to see if its improved, and if I like it I might think about buying it, well some of what I said is my opnion, and some of which is true, even so I rather play GW than WOW,EQ, and so on for the P2P and F2P games.
I think the level 20 cap is fine. It was a big concern during the preview events prior to chapter 1 release but then many came to understand why that critical decision was made. Yes, there is still some grinding depending on what chapter you are playing . Increasing the level cap doesnt mean anything (except maybe add more grind) if they dont extend the life expectancy of the game by adding more content and increasing replay value of the game.
I'm expecting Nightfall will last longer than Factions going by the fact that teams rotate to work on the next chapter. Definetly, I was more excited playing the Dervish and Paragon professions than I was on Ritualist and Assassin. In addition to 2 new professions, 20 Missions, Challenge Missions, New Arenas, 300 New skills, and several other features I dont remember all based on leaked information posted on Ebgames then was taken down immediately. I dont know the accuracy of the information. But do remember Nightfall is still in Beta stage. Changes do take place.
Playing now: Cities: Skyline / Ori and the Blind Forest / Banished
playing a dervish was cool and i think they made a right step in developing. The lvl 20 cap is nice as well cause you get the feeling that you reached your target very fast. And with that lvl 20 you feel that you "can move" something, which is fine.
