Blood elf and Dreanei classes revealed

    edit: ok, I take my smart ass comment back about this being old news.. I guess they officially never announced all of the classes. It was still subject to change. So I guess it's official now. FINE!

    Pfft, the Draenei abilities look a bit rubbish... but the Blood Elves!? Really glad i'm Horde, i would hate to be an Alliance Mage and go up against a Blood Elv Hunter, i'd have no Mana! Also, it's a 2 minute cooldown!! It's just sick. I know one race i won't be dueling.

    Greetings all, noob here 


    Had to reply to this, get some of this off my chest, Im so pissed off about it.


    Im a devoted Paladin, Paladin through-and-through and cant imagine playing the
    game as any other class (tried a few times, failed alot) and I couldnt be less
    happy and more outraged at anything. First let me say that the Paladin has long
    been the ultimate..ultimate..horde slayer, the beacon of light in the harsh
    lands of the evil, the most potent undead slayer to date and an unyielding tank
    of righteousness. Some call them a priest in armour, from my point of view
    theyre a warrior, priest and, due to holy damage, a mage in armour. That being
    said..what the hell is a Shaman? The proverbial "jack of all trades,
    master of none", the supportive class of the horde, a druid and priest
    rolled into one in my honest opinion, but I have never..ever seen a Shaman be a
    tank, or take down a single Paladin, and that is a disgrace. I may be
    underestimating them, I hope I am, but seriously, give me a break, its not a
    fair trade, Paladin for Shaman, its robbery.


    Now that that is out of the way, let us proceed shall we? The motherfarkin stat
    bonuses of the two new races, once again I find the Alliance being stabbed in
    the back for a second time, need I point to the sky and show you the
    differences? Who cares, I will anyway!

    Blood Elves

    Anyone else feel their blood boil? Alright then, Im not even going to start to
    display my anger at this, dare I say, FILTH. Ok..ok..have to settle down for
    the next phase..


    Ok, so you all have evidence of robbery in front of you, whats the next step,
    how could this possible get worse for the Alliance? What could be worse than
    the inevitable swarm of the Horde super-race? Yes, thats right, what could be
    worse? Give up? I'll tell you then, nobody to stop them, not even Paladins,
    Warriors or Rogues. "How could this be!?" You ask yourselves
    "This cant be happening!" Oh but it is, dear readers, its happening,
    its all real and I cant, even though I wish I could, snap my fingers and make
    it all dissapear. So now your saying "Pfft, your kidding, they arent a
    super-race, they arent any better Paladins than Dwarves or, the first Paladins,
    the Humans, get out of here" My dear people, I do not kid, the Dwarves and
    Humans, though powerful and righteous as they are, are useless..useless without
    mana, without it theyre stuck between roles, Priest? No mana. Warrior? DPS
    arent even close to the real thing. Mage? Again, without mana, poof. So, with
    the Blood Elves ability to drain mana as easy as they can, Alliance Paladins
    will be, in almost the blink of an eye, without the ability to heal in combat,
    re-cast seals and judgments, it will be devastating, not even a battle worth
    noting.


    With Paladins out of the way, who shall stand up to the Blood Elves now!?
    Again, my dear readers, I point out to you the Blood Elves ability to destroy
    the mana of his opposers, which takes care of how many Alliance classes? Druid,
    Mage, Paladin, Priest, Warlock and EVEN..possibly..the Hunter. Right, who
    stands a chance against the Blood Elf massacre now!? The Rogue and Warrior,
    the only classes without a Mana bar and the only classes that cant be affected
    by the Blood Elves natural resistance, do they stand a chance? Oh yes..good chance..except
    for the fact that a Paladin can destroy both a Rogue and a Paladin in
    one-on-one combat, easily.


    Do the math people, even with engineering and herbalism and all those
    professions that help with battle, there is nothing stopping them now, they are
    now the ultimate race, with the ability to choose the ultimate class. I
    challenge any of you to step up and tell me Im wrong, I may have made a mistake
    above, but as far as I can see, the Alliance is getting ripped off heavily.
    Hear me now, when Burning Crusade is released, there will be a legion of Blood
    Elves, hundreds, thousands possibly, probably, they will swarm and within a
    week, two, even less or even more, they will be level 70, in battlegrounds
    there will be no match for them, instances will cower at their shadows, it will
    be over.


    The apocalypse is here my friends, and on her breast suckles the Blood Elf.

    Mana tap only drains 50 mana, and has a 30 second cooldown. 50 mana is a lot on low levels, but around lvl 40~50 50 mana is NOTHING.

    First of all thats 150 mana, second you stack that with stealth, or stuns, which most classes have, including Paladins. Im assuming you dont have a 60 Mage or Warlock as well, go check the mana costs on most of the high level spells, then come back here and tell me that 3 mana taps, plus a few stuns, in the meanwhile beating the crap out of a spellcaster close range, and then casting Arcane Torrent wont be extremely funny for Horde. Add that with their resistance to every spell type but holy and you got yerself a giggling Blood Elf standing over your corpse.


  • No BE warrior? even gnomes have warriors.  They once said all races will have warrior.  That just seems off to me.  The hunter thing makes sense, you can't have the original WC2 rangers not have hunters, but no warriors is pretty funky.  Especially since they can be paladins but not be warriors?

    What do you mean "even gnomes have warriors"!? I once saw a gnome 60 warrior absolutly own an orc 60 warrior Anyway, yeah, Blizzard really screwed these dudes up, I agree with everyone that says why the hell cant BF be warriors, thats crossing the line.

    Actually I DO have a lvl 60 Undead mage, and 150 mana is nothing, especialy considering it can ONLY be used AGAIN after 30 seconds. thats right, 30 seconds. most pvp fights don't even LAST 30 seconds. so most people will only be able to use it once in a pvp fight. 50 mana means nothing, you can't cast a single spell with 50 mana. Note that I was only talking about the drain mana, the silence spell is indeed overpowered.

    Hmm ... a healing warrior. Yeah, that'll do. ^_^

    The new racials do seem better, but nothing overpowered.

    Mana drain will probably scale per level.

    what does that mean?  the arcane energy that can stack three times and lasts ten minutes?

    could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?
