I've read any and all Middle-Earth related material many times over since I was 12 or 13. I've even delved into the ICE Merp and LotR material. Confirmed ME nut. I think that putting the game in the War of the Ring was a mistake. Its too restrictive. They should have put it closer to the North Kingdom wars between Arthedain, Rhudaur, Cardolan, and Angmar. Khazad-dum was still popluated by Durins people. The Elves, while fading, were still a viable force as described in their aid to the Kings of Arthedain. The South Kingdom (Gondor) was in its prime. Sauron was a shadowy threat as the Sorcerer of Dul Guldur. Anyway I ramble... I think LotR will be my last foray into MMO's. The MMO world has grown too reptitive and predictable. No longer new and shiny like the early days of AOL NWN, EQ, and AC1.

I have read the books and i have seen the movies, but there is something that makes me crazy. And that a lot that is written in the books are changes in the movie.

I have read the 3 books plus the hobbit. I think they need to make the hobbit into a non animated film like the rest of the movies it would be better.

Have you read the hobbit and do you think they should make it into a non animated movie like the others?

And I hope they leave the Hobbit alone.  If they make it, it will not be for the fans - it will be for the movie producers pockets.  I say don't kill the title any further.

Read all 4 in the main series.  Also read The Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales and some short stories like Smith of Wootton Major and Farmer Giles of Ham.

I'm excited to see what the game has in store for everyone.

I read the Hobbit in the 7th grade back in 1998 for English class. The teacher had mentioned the books so I kept them in mind and picked them up my first year in high school. I loved the books and they quickly became my favorite. Of course when the movies came out I had to see them too, and even read the books again before the movies came out. Then I had to see the movies one at a time as they were released on DVD, and once again when I had all of them together I had to watch them in a row. Basically anything that has to do with LOTR is great in my opinion.
