From an source that I cannot name, I have recieved infomation on a new class...
it sounds interesting...
SHADOW BEAST-TAMER
"This class has the unique ability to transform into enemies that he/she has vanquished, this will include all monsters, even boss monsters such as dragons, or towering beasts"
This is part of the document which he managed to get hold of, sounds good to me.

It may be true, although I doubt you will be able to morph into a defeated dragon of some sort. Take lady vox for instance, you kill her in a raid, then become her...scare people (fun right?) but you would be way too powerful, no way. they wont let you be too powerful.
Hmm dunno, doesn't sound like SOE would do something like that...

oh yes they would, IF: they make the class to hook new players and once they had a substancial increase in accounts they NERF the living hell out of it.

Hehe, funny rumor. Although i seem to doubt its full trueness.
First off, Everquest2.com doesn't have it in their class tree. I'm pretty sure they have no reason to hold back certain 'secret' classes, although you could be 100% right. But that profession would deffinately be over-used. Just look at it, who WOULDNT want to become a dragon? I'm still sticking to a Druid: Fury, but that class would deffinately be used by like 60% of gamers.
On the other hand, WoW released the NE and Undead, Trolls and Gnomes all at different times, so maybe your rumor is right =P

That would never happen and if it is true i doubt they would let you morph into a boss mob. Or maybe you could morph into one but you would be regular size.

The originator of this post is using an alias to their more frequent nickname.
The context of their opening post is a direct copy of previous "statements" that they have made concerning other titles, in which each case has been proven inaccurate or incorrect aswell.

About this rumor.. Yes it's true and untrue. No Beast-Tamer will exist. Necro's at higher levels can summon a fallen Mob as a pet for (.... Seconds/minutes).

I have never seen an official mmorpg.com post/satement of the release date of EQ2. If you find one please direct me to it. Regarding this thread's topic, it is based on the possiblity of a class called:

To this was the point of my comment. There will not be a SHADOW BEAST-TAMER CLASS and it will not be able to do as was described above. If there was to be at this late stage in its development it would already have been mentioned. Therefore the rumour is false. The topic does not involve other classes and their abilites.

Oh, yes sorry. Why is it that MMORPG has EQ's Release date posted as 6/14/04? The Devs at EQ have not said anything specific about the date, only that it was due to release in the summer of 04. Why is it that MMORPG is the only website that has information about EQ2 with a specific date of release?

Lol kinda hard to give it a rating of 9.0 when it hasnt even been released from beta stages...
Admin just came back from tour of the SOE facility in San Diego on March 5th and got some nice photos and info... you never know

If the Admin had gotten word on the release date, then I'm sure he has gotten more information which has not been posted here, other then the pics. If what was posted is true, then I WILL DEMAND more Information. I drug of choice is EQ, and this addict needs his fix!
