What will happen to MMORPGs SWG threads?
When the game is finally shutdown, what will become of these threads?
MMORPG currently has 'Released Games' and 'Games in Development' but they do
not have 'Retired Games' ... Was, for example, Earth&Beyond ever discussed here?
[NOTE: all games are end-of-lifed while many feel the signs are there for SWG to occur sooner than later, I am
just interested in what happens to these threads *when* SWG is EOLed regardless of when]

Good question. I would recommend they keep them. More content = more visits = more click ads.
We will probably keep returning to this forum daily to gripe for years after SWG is gone.
So there is value for their advertisers.

I would even venture to go one step on that theory -
What if the NGE servers are left plugged in but not supported for future development and a few precu servers are thrown in there to boot of course - not being supported for future development? Kind of an appetizer for the next gen Star Wars MMORPG.
They get both audiences (what left and what returns) for some more milking. WHo would do this? My bets are on LA.

On a more serious note, though. I come here mostly to check out the SWG forum. If it and its threads were to be deleted I'd most likely reduce my visits here by 75%.
You should go back and read the post again about the appologized. He still says that the NGE is good, he apologized for the timing and communication not for the NGE itself.
