Anyone in Beta Testing?

in Carpe Diem

No one has made a post on Carpe Diem here so I thought I would.

I signed up for beta testing and am exitedly waiting for testing to start.

Is anyone else signed up for beta testing?

    Aye. Signed up months ago. From the last newsletter I believed it said beta was expected to begin sometime in July or August, which is good news.

    Yeah, signed up a few days ago. Looks really interesting, and quite fun! Can't wait....

    yea I signed in about 1 month ago I signed at 9dragons too both games look cool to me and I can't wait till they go in open beta

    yea, i signed up recently as well, it looks like a crazy game, probably gonna sign up for 9dragons as well. cant wait, its so close...

    Just signed up.  I wonder how mounted combat will work . . . that is if it is similar to Darkfall.  Kinda off topic but what happens when the archnemesis evoker dude gets capped in the end?  Do we get more player controlled enemies or will we get to fight the demon prince?

    I imagine the mounted combat would be similar to that of Mount & Blade by Taleworlds (if you've heard of that), as that worked really well.

    As for the post-enemy thing, I don't know... Another problem would arise is who controls the enemy?

    Yeah, Darkfall is suppose to use similar mounted combat as Mount & Blade . . . (although I'm not sure how that works since I haven't checked it out yet).

    i sighned up to carpe diem and 9dragons a long time ago and have patentily been waiting but now its geting hard!!! i think it will b cool cuz the bad dude is a real person playing some were.

    I signed up a few days ago ... Carpe Diem looks like an awesome game actually ... But it's exciting that we get to help make it better don't you think ?

    Definately: that's the main reason I decided to sign up to this - it'll be my first ever Beta! :)

    Is anyone here somewhat intelligent? Does anybody know what Carpe Diem means in Latin?

    Sigh... <sarcasm>That's what Babelfish is for. It's an amazing concept! You put the words in latin and they give it back to you in the "royal" language!</sarcasm>

    I took Latin so I know. It means "Seize the Day!" It's a pretty neat name for a game I guess (if people would actually take the time to find out what it means!!!)

    I was thinking that perhaps Uzziel would just be like 5-10 people at once, or they would trade off. If it is one person, he cant control what happens with EVERY player. And even if he could, he wouldn't be able to be on 24/7.

    on the site it says Carpe Diem will be ready for beta testing around September 2006.

    D'oh! That's a long time away :( Surely it'd have been a better idea to set up beta testing whilst the majority of people are on holiday?

    Fish of the day! It's fish of the day! Carpe is french for Carp and Diem is like per diem, which means day.. so it's fish of the day!!!

    If you poke around the site you will see they mention when he gets "capped" his minion beast are weaker for a week, however if they players trying to beat him fail his minion beasts are stronger.

    As well as being stronger/weaker they enemies drop more often and more rares if he dies and less if he wins.
