Well theres a new free trial going on (the fileplanet one is over now). Each current MxO member has 5 trial keys to give away.

Just thought i'd say i am willing to give my keys away but only to those of you genuinely interested. Those of you who have the amount of free will to ignore all the hired haters around these boards. Those of you who realise you can't be told what to believe. Those of you willing to give MxO the chance it deserves.
All major bugs are now gone, the combat has been overhauled for the better, much content has been added/improved. This game is no longer the buggy failed beta test of a game it was in the past. It's fixed. And it's good.

Well I dunno about the combat being changed for the better but I guess that means I have 5 keys to give away too somehow?

To be perfectly honest very little changed from the 'feel' of the original system, except the ui is less intrusive, the ability trees are balanced, players have a much wider choice of decent buffed clothing and the system is a lot more dev friendly.
As for your keys, they were sent out in the MxO newsletter, if your signed up for it check ya SOE registered email address.
Ah then no keys for me. They are on my server's block list for continually spamming me after I beta'ed it and unsubsribed via their own method over 6 times and they aren't going to be taken off anytime soon.
I sent them a letter, I sent them several emails about it. They couldn't be bothered.

I'm not usually one to rain on anyone's parade but yeah... no. Bugs fixed? You have got to be kidding me. I was there from Phase 2 on and there are still a number of bugs in game that have been there from the very very start.
Considering I could still, if I wanted, level a character from 1 to 50 in 3 hours, still zap elevators, still dupe non/craft any item, still login to any character using your forum ID and yu can still do the fancy ceiling to ground plunge over and over.
I'm absolutely not saying MxO isn't worth a shot, I will always have a love for the game but some things are slight exagerations and some things are blatantly wrong.
Combat wasn't overhauled, it was at best touched up at best, content is still by and large accessed the same way as it's always been.
Again, it's worth a try and please do give it a try but let's be honest about this, the game has more then it's fair share of issues.

Not to argue it to a fine point here but yeah sorry, no there is still a very large exploit.
And you don't have to appologize about the combat system, just not my thing and not what I would have liked to have seen but as I said in my post, I still have lots of love for the game and I think it's deffanitely worht a try. But the again, the combat 2.0 was more of a touch up then a revamp, sorry if that offends you in any way.

1 - 50 in 3 hours? What a load, I keep hearing about " I can get to max level in hours! " in all the MMOs I play , and yet noone has EVER proved it or told the method. You are blowing steam when you say that, its not possible. And if it is, Prove it? :P
The Matrix Online is an ok game, but I am trying to decide if the grind is good for me or not.

But whether I like the game or not, I can't justify saying, yeah it's bug free. Because it's really not, every single bug and exploit I listed is present in the game, it's not blowing steam it's just an unfortunate truth. And proving it, wth would I do that? So that hordes of newbies could go and mad lvl themselves to 50 and blow the entire point of the game?
In all reality, if you know where to look, it's easy to find the how-to on the exploit, if your sad enough to do this that is. I mean whatever, believe it or not, that's completely up to each and every person but quite honestly, if you know anything about the games mechanics it's seriously not hard to figure out.

Heh. If you say so, I am sure in the land of shae its possible; but not in The Matrix Online. I am sure if people knew about this 'exploit' it would have been fixed AWHILE ago.
And of course there are bugs, there are bugs in every MMO out there, that is the process for making a MMO.There is always going to be bugs.
I to went into The matrix at beta, I wasn't impressed at all but then again I am begining to think I didn't give it a chance. I tryed to look past the HORRIBLE mission grind to the coding, and I like that. I've made friends , but this has nothing to do with the fact that getting from 1 to 50 in 3 hours is nor possible, or is not now .

Damn right there is always a way to cheat in any MMO. Did you know you can lvl 1-60 and make 16000 gold in less than 24 hours in WoW. Probably not, why? because ppl who knows those information won't reveal it because they don't what the bugs to be fix and they can sell gold and account on the Net for reel money, don't you get it.

Hmm why don't you enlighten me what this exploit is. If I'm thinking the exploit your taking about that only took an hour to hit 50 then sorry that one got fixed about a week ago
You know what... whatever. This entire time I've not once been rude... and you want to start on the "land of shae" crap and outright calling me a liar. Yeah, your a winner.
You obviously do not have a damned clue about anything so... moving on. Like I said earlier, anyone with even the tinniest, most remote amount of intelligence can find out all about the exploit, sorry if you don't qualify but this unfortunately is not the right forums to talk about such things.

Well I think I fit the requirements for your offer SkyJackal.
I had the original trial key from FilePlanet, and postponed giving it a try... until now. I have been re-watching the movies, and remembered that I had a key. But it wouldn't work, so here I am, hoping I can somehow get a key so I can give it a try.
And I'm not listening to what players say about this game - One can not be told what the Matrix is... You have to see if for yourself.

SkyJacal, or any who sees this and still has some keys left, if there is any way you could retrieve a key for me to test this game out I would be very greatful. Have played most of the MMO's out there and want something new to try. Almost subscribed to Matrix Online to give it a whirl for the first time, but really don't want to pay if it doesn't end up in my bowl of favor ;p So if anyone is willing to give me a test run, I could guage wether i would want to stick around or not.
