Does anyone WHEN and WHERE the open beta is going to come out (if it comes out, i have absolutely no idea)

For WoW they decided to open a beta for usa AND europe, are they going to do the same thing for DnL?? I hope so...

Well, i think it's still a secret for the open beta, but it should be out in one or too months (maybe)

And i think it will be for europe too (but you must have a good machine, heh :P)

You can apply to the beta at the official site, but you'll never know when/if you'll get an invitation to the beta. I'm still waiting/longing for mine. *Sigh*

i dont expect open beta earlier than late April or even May ...

I've learned that from other Betas .... they are still in early stages of closed beta ... and this actual stage (i think stage 3) will at least last a month till next stage ... and i am sure next stage will not be the open beta ... open beta will suspiciously stage 5 or 6 i think ....

It's officialy given an aproximite release time during the summer but I really doubt we'll see the gold version any time this year... But hope is the last to abandon man... So, who knows?

Hi ! I see on the last dev-chat, than the game will coming soon on the 2nd quart of 2004, so I think between June and August. But it's probably !

But just a question, what is for you the "Gold Version" ?

2nd quart is april-june =x

1st= jan feb march
2nd= april may june
3rd= july aug sep
4th= oct nov dec

but don't get your hopes up too high, release dates are subject to change.

Let's see, I get a new computer at the end of the school year, my birthday's in august, so I kinda hope it'll be in august-september something like that

normaly the gold version is the original game, the expansion(s), and a guide through the world of DnL...(at least that's what it is for DAoC if my memory still works)

Does anyone have a map of DnL? I wouldn't mind to have a look at it....so I can plan my futur conquest

To explain the expression: The Gold version of any program is the finished product that gets printed on the first CD/DVD and is then copied and released for distribution. In other words, it's the version of the game that will be released on CD or for download, or both.

For answer the kestion about the map, normaly they won't have a map with the game, because we have to discover the world by ourself. And in one of the dev-chat I see than it will have Map In Game, not IRL.

I sure hope DnL doesn't get pushed again. I don't know how my times my heart can be broken by the same game!!

This is...what...the 2nd push already....

and I'm not going to even imagine this game coming out in 2004. Don't get me wrong...I'd love to see it happen, as the sooner it comes out, the sooner the fun begins. But for now...well, as of April 28th, I'll be at Lineage2 until DnL comes out!

The game release is officially pushed back for FALL 2004 ! ::::20::

there will be 6 beta phases and currently its beta phase 2 .So ,be patient !
just take an eye ( a big like this > ::::14:: ) on this game ...
DNL is a big and complexe game so it needs some time to dev but it ll be a revolution !!! be confident ...

Are you sure about what you said ?

I don't see anything about the coming of the game, no in the last dev-chat and no on the last interviews.Can you give your source plz? the last date I have is April-May-June.

Here's the thread concerning the release date over at the official Dark and Light forums. It basically confirms that Fall is indeed the projected release date now. The thread makes mention of a dev interview where it was officially stated, I'll see if I can find that interview for you.

UPDATE: Well that didn't take me long, here's the interview give it a read, pretty interesting and it does indeed confirm the push back to fall.

I'll bet that they won't get it out before next x-mas. At least it gives us time to spare some cash but there'll be more and more people that'll go to WoW because it's out first! It's not bad for me to have less people, it's bad for the creators.

And i'm quite sure that after the last round of beta testing (should be round august I suppose) they'll find something that still doesn't work at all and we'll have to w8 another 3 months. This reminds me nintendo...

I've been a forum member/signed up for beta since the forums opened over there. Never threw me a bone

It figures the one game I actually tried to participate with the community as it is being developed, doesn't let me in =P

And I can beta hop with relative ease in other games without showing much interest on forums. I just don't see the point in racking up posts just to show them I am interested. People who flame people who get into betas without being part of the community are hypocrites.. 99% of them are just people who post 20 irrelevant posts a day to make themselves look like forum gods

I'm extremely excited with this game and I for one am glad they are taking the necessary extra time to make a rock solid game. It can take until next year for all I care, It will be worth it knowing they are spending that extra time improving it for final release.

Have faith and keep posting on the official forums. I'm sure if you are helpful and constructive with your posts you will more than likely be noticed sooner or later.
