Best Graphics - MMORPG?

I am new here and if this was posted before I apologize. Graphics play a MAJOR role in the MMORPG I play, second to character development. I was just wondering if there were any MMORPGs that were superior in graphics other than DAoC, EQ, UO and RO.

So far I think that lineage 2 has the best graphics (I hope thats not the only thing thats going to be good about that game), and another game that will also have good graphics will be WoW.

Both have superb graphics.

While lineage 2 does look good, lets not forget about EQ2. Lineage 2 's graphics look great but nothing compared to EQ2.

O yeah....By the way, please dont talk about games taht have no meaning like ac2 and swg.

You have said nothing other that you dont have or are unwilling to provide WHY you believe Lineage 2 to be the winner in this discussion. Provide some substance and we may take your seriously and give your option some credit if you back it up. Now, on to the topic at hand.

SWG has some amazing graphic that blew me away. It was he first game I saw that competed with AC2 and AC2 had some absolutely amazing graphics. DAoC:TOA also has some very impressive graphics that do compete with SWG/AC2 but even with this latest update to the client it does not come out on top.

If you want a SciFi game with good GFX then go SWG or if fantasy is your thing then AC2, but if you want a good game with great GFX thats a little below the above mentioned then DAoC.

while I sadly have to say that SWG has one of the best graphics (for MMORPG currently in retail) i have to also say SWG is the worse mmorpg i ever played.

Right now, I play EVE....increadible graphics. You have to be a space sim sci-fi fan to like it though

Lineage 2 and Guild Wars.

WoW looks ok too but some don't like it because it's too cartoonish and somehow blockish. I don't mind the later two aspect of the art at all as long as the game is fun. But again I'm very biased against this game because the way it is presented in their official site suggest that the game will limit PvP and largely scale down clan war pledge.

EQ2's environment (buildings, etc) looks very pleasing too except that dark elf female who looks at you as if she's just been pissed.

I like how WoW has that cartoonish look to it, thats what will make WoW different form the other games. Anyways It will all come down to it that you don't need top notch graphics to sell a game(having good graphics dose give your game a big hype boost though), but good game content.

Eve Online has great graphics. Although it's a space sim, as opposed to a standard terrestrial MMO.

Scammer paradise though. Can't stand what the game has devolved into. But it does look nice.

Of all the games out or in current beta(this does not include EQ2 as it has not started beta) SWG is the graphics champ.

Better then AC2,better then eve online,better then lineage2 ,better then all the rest.

Maybe when EQ2 goes beta or live i would say it is the best(from screenshots its gonna be the best).

But for now graphics wise -SWG.Good crafting system too rest of the game is junk.

Thanks for all your input. I have decided to stick with Ragnarok Online for the time being. I love the Mana style graphics. There is a Korean game out there called Seven Hearts ( http://www.sevenhearts.co.kr ) that looks like it has graphics that will blow away every and all MMORPG but the problem is its all korean! I have been writing their dev team to see if there will be an international version anytime soon, no reply as of yet. I think my idea of best graphics differs from some of the people here because I don't think EQ2 or SW:G graphics are that great. Pixel/Cell-Shaded is my thing.

Well if sweet graphics are your bag then yup go with either SWG, AC2 or Eve. However if you want some content / point to your MMORPG then I'd go with AC2 or Eve.

SWG is the best looking but needs much more time to develop and mature.

AC2 while not quite as good looking as SWG (its very close I'd say) has improved quite a bit since launch and has been getting some good reviews from people that have returned to it. Can't vouch for this myself though.

Eve is a very good looking game but is very very deep and complex, one of them games where you get out of it what you put in. As said before though it's a Space MMORPG which isnt everyones cup of tea.
