WoW, Just WoW, the players are calling for A nerf of the Restuss....

RabiaRabia Member Posts: 622
I just find the player base amazing.  Most of the time, they don't want a nerf.... but
now:

NERF Call

I just don't get it... why can't the devs and player base just get a along?

Well it is causing lag & rubberbanding inside of Restuss.

Unreal.  I think the players are in the wrong on this one though.  Using your factions' troops as a defense is called strategy.  At some point they will need to come out and fight, unless their idea of fun is hiding all night.  Besides, get all of your friends and their friends (oh shoot, I almost forgot that only 10 people are online anymore) and cut through the NPCs.  Who knows?  Overcoming a challenge might be fun.

If your PC cannot handle the lag, then go to one of the other fabulous spots for entertainment that SOE has provided (dang it!  forgot there aren't that many) .

I realize I said I quit. I never said it was forever :)

NO - the added information in each packet due to the NGE is doing that, but hey i only know c++ so how would i know.

I vote nerf restuss too - back to the way it was pre.........

Actually they are calling for more of a fix then a nerf.. atm the spawn is beyond rediculous and stacks on top of itself, add on to that so few now go there the small groups that try to clear usually just get ripped apart.

Original design was for two drops ships a couple of mins apart to drop I think 10 Troopers and 2 Dark Troopers, not sure what the rebel config was though I am sure the numbers are the same, all of them 80+(can't remember exact levels it's been a while since I was last there), anyway seems the last publish broke the spawn /shrug.

Ah, it's just like the good old days.

Y'know, we'd none of us be happy if they got their act together and actually stopped breaking stuff.

So, you all sat in camps and that was fun?

I don't play but the way it looks it's broken. Unintended.

A Nerf would be calling the Dev Team to adress issues of something they wanted. Fixing is something like overspawning, which apparently STs are doing in the city.

Personally I believe NPCs don't belong in a PvP war. CU Base Wars was more PvE than PvP, PvE bases were used by PvPers more than PvErs. They'd drop them for NPCs and turrets, once your factioned kill the majority players they run and hide in the bottom the base while the NPCs battle it out against the forces trying to finish the players.

PvP bases were dumb as well with the NPCs inside, and each terminal slice more and more spawns.

People were more concerned of NPCs than Players, to be honest.

Not sure what that poster is worried about anyways? Its not like there not going to nerf it anyways kinda stupid post in the first place lol. First they have to make restuss work then its nerf time.

We're sitting in our offices thinking of ways to upset our paying customers. I think were on track to meet that goal.

The poster continues to find SOE decisions regarding this game and disregarding the history of player reaction just amazing.

    Nothing more.

Ok I am one to wait by the Huge group of NPC imperials, They are my only real back up.

So far I haven't had much luck gettin even 4 imperials to jump in the battle, Most days Its about a 4 to 1 ratio , Being overrun with newbie rebels. All tryin to get there lvl 90 in 2 days and get all the commedations they can get.

So I am one to use the npcs as back up. Seeing I am having my own Faction Bounty Hunters Hunting me in a PVP zone, while im ingaged.

RADIANT SERVER Guild "Dark" loves to hunt there own faction, they think their there own faction....

So Yes I ask for something to Fix this unbalance, One being adding Perks back to Imperial side, we lost all the perks. So all these new kids wana be Luke Skywalkers.

2nd they need to add something so if You Hunt your own faction then you should loose faction points atleast. I get these Imperial Bounty hunters attacking me as Imp and with no remorse. Most of them are just greedy and want the money.......

It's a strategy yes, as a Rebel I've watched us pull the Imps from our base back into the city and the mass spawn of Stormtroopers is the first place where they head... Now I did find a way around this before the auto lock/fire came back in. Target who you want to shoot at, and swich over to your safe fire mode. You wouldn't shoot at the NPC's, just the Player...

What bugs me about Restuss tho is that big spawn of Stormtroopers inside the city... Namely the fact that half the time I see the Rebel NPC's outside the city, and every so offen one or two of those NPC groups will head into the city. Not whining, however I would like to see those Rebel NPC's moving into the city...

Lol Dathomir when there was elevnty billion Mobs in lines on the way to the village.

That was the most unreal fuck-up of simple crap... and it was not just that planet.   I swear, thinking of all the stupid crap that was just flat out broke and still is,  is just horrid.    One has to wonder what a Devs version is of somthing broke or working.

CL 500 level quenkers, or rows and rows of NPCs on Dath... I look back and just think they really needed to just fix some things instead of trying to re-invent the wheel.

ahh yes i loved those lines of things on dath. especially when there was loads of lag on dath on the eclipse server and one minute you'd be riding along and next you'd be dead and your swoop would be borked because you had just been attacked by 50 CL 500 nightsisters all at the same time.

You are joking right? I always see cries for "Nerf this" and "Nerf that" on the forums.

    Jedi are too powerful
Bounty Hunters can kill Jedi too easy
That weapon does too much damage
Medic's are too powerful in PvP

    On and on and on.

Yes, he just used the term nerf poorly.
