I was Pistoleer/BH after it was FoTM, I got bored with it.
I then went Swords/Doctor for awhile and had fun in PvP as well as being group support(Healing andBuffing, which was a great ability I enjoyed all the way to the end. It was before a whole lot people were Swords/Doc, and I went that for mainly PvP believe it or not.
I finally went Pikeman/Doc also before the FoTM with that profession, yet then everyone followed after the Fencer Scatter2 fix after seeing the carnage. (See below)
I played Piks rest Pre-CU, then throughout CU until I decided to go Rifleman/Doc for group support(Ranged AoEing heh)
Also, I never believed truely in FoTM. Everyone had different play styles, and all the FoTM jocks were copying off mainly a good PvPer, they were never, I will repeat. never as good as they copied off of. Only those who had the mentality of being good at what profession they played, and not jumping professions every time they got killed by the next hawtness became good. You learn how to deal with that threat, and next time you meet that threat you defeat it.
We had a competition on Bria known as Fight Night. This was a fun event where we found out who was the best duelist using only the skills they had, if your a doctor you could buff. If not, sorry. What happened when the person won, that template was FoTM suddenly. Two Categories(Later Three with Jedi). Most memorable was how Sokah, a Fencer/Doctor, won and then everyone seemed to go Fencer besides those who were content like me, or those who were already rocking with fencer.
Funniest Ranged winner was a carbineer, and guess what. FoTM was carbineer, before this I had an alt with Carbineer/BH template with some good tapes and had pretty good fun stunning crowds and taking bounties. :P
Also there was templates like Pikemen, ultimatly I wanted to try it out for fun since everyone made fun of it. It was fun as hell, a friend and guildie who also did the same as I almost, yet he dropped a template rifles/TKM everyone always said was the 'I win' for a Pike Template. Probally the turning point and showing how powerfull two PvPers who are smart enough was when we held a base against 30 some Rebels and the fencers of course got their scatter2 fixed.
