I am going to be a priest of Mitra. Sounds like a main healer with the power to throw back people.
So I am having a good feeling that a lot of people will be doing melee and this would work wonders against them.
So what class & sub-class do you want to be and why?

Know how many people are going to try and name their character Conan. Plus there's going to be tons of Barbarians running around... which makes me think...

Conan was supposed to have been a thief at an early age I guess would be part of the reason... that and they wear light armour unlike soldiers.
Though as I said in another thread I believe, I'm going to play a Scourge of Derketo. Storms sound cool but they never look right and I don't want to transform so... yup.

Half the world will be Conann and Lagoles... well hopefully not
The barbarian description is very similar to the halberdier. Personally, I think the halberdier is much cooler though and if I made an alt, I'd definately be looking at that class.
Edit: wow I didn't even notice my own post up a couple. My memory must be fading in my old age... /checks pulse... up still alive.

2 things...
1) I disagree with your assessment of everyone wanting to be Conan. Out of the dozen+ people I know who want to play, only one wants to be a Barbarian.
2) Barbarian's are not Soldiers, they are outcasts & Rogues of Society. They are not trained in warfare, they are taugh to fight.

Most of my Characters in other games are modeled and named after characters from REH's Conan novels.
Thoth, Conn and Zarano are names I always use.
Not this time...and I wont stoop to using a variation of any of the names.

With a feeling of total desolation, I stumble into a monestary where they take me under their wing and show me the happy spirits of my now dead brats so I devote the rest of my life to the slaughter of all things evil.
Or maybe my dad sold me to pay off a debt and I became an oar boy on a Gally untill it gets caught in a storm. I am washed ashore, presumed dead and saved by a priest who teaches me magic from his neuttral God. I quest out to find my former master so I can sacrifice him. Then go find the dad who named me sue and rip his lungs out using dark, evil magic.
Female rogue sounds good. Big tits, bigger scimitar...

I will be a mighty Conqueror. 2 handed death shall be fun to watch close up. I hope blood splats on the screen like it does on some war movies.
That would be awesome! I can't wait. Too bad it's not untill next year. But that will give me plenty of time to get myself a nice new computer.

Rogue - Ranger - i prefer ranged combat - AOE strikes - placing a DOT on someone - and having a high rate of fire. I'm basically very cowardly in PvP and don't wanna put myself in harms way so I look forward to picking players off from behind a rock or tree.

Mage - Necromancer - it's as close to creature handler as we get in this game - I just hope it's strong and we can name them. Again, i'm very cowardly but also somewhat lazy and would prefer others to do my fighting for me. I'd choose Demonologiist but the short duration buff makes me think i'll forget to reapply it.
...So basically i'm lazy, cowardly, and forgetful. Can I join your guild?

Fill out an application and see what happens. I'm pretty sure we don't have any rangers yet, don't know who's playing what yet, but I'm going to be a Priest of Mitra. Should be interesting.
I am going to be a Rogue --> Reaver, because I usually like to be a pvp god and take people out as fast as I can aswell as speed / dmg is my thing.
Though I am looking into master theif too.
