256 ram... EEEEEEKK!

Well, maybe, but it would look horrible and run very slow.
With some additional system ram it would probably run well enough to be playable on low settings. My wife used to run the game on a 1.9ghz AMD with 512meg mem and a 128meg video card, and it ran ok, altho upgrading the system ram to 1 gig sure helped a lot.
