Is this a trick question? It's a good cpu. I give it a
edit: might save the extra you have to pay on the retail and get the cpu w/o the heatsink and fan. Buy the cooling system seperately. The ones boxed with it usually suck ass.

not outstanding graphics? Such as what? That can handle most of the stuff on market (with the exception of the high end commerical graphics apps). Well I guess It is better to ask what your mother board specs are...if you have an integrated piece o' crap video on your mb then he's right!

I live life a 1/4 mile at a time for those 10 secons or less i'm free-Vin Diesel The fast and the furious.
That's just the CPU... I bought my AMD 2500+ for less then $90 and I've overclocked it faster then then 3200+ which cost around $300...
I would do your homework before buying anything.
What will he do next?
Thats y hes come here, we r his homework and we should give him the help he needs.

It's a excellent cpu.I currently have the athlon 2800 with the barton core wich runs at 1.8Ghz, the nice things about the barton core and it's 512k cache is it allows the chip to be everclockes quite a bit. I recently came a across a article where where the magazine tech guys had overclocked the 2800 from 1.8ghz to 2.8 ghz and still managed to keep the chip stable.
As for that guys comment about not trying to run high end graphics games i suggest he go do some reading, Most of the graphics prossesing load has been transfered to the video card, hence the name GPU.I have a lesser chip than the one you've requested information about but i have a good video card, radeon 9800 pro,I currently run all my games ( not old games either, the new direct x9 games) at 1280 x1024 with all the shadows and other graphic options on ultra high and have yet to run into a game that even slows down my system.
My final answer to your question is that it's a excellent cpu and a great place to start building a system from or just a really nice cpu upgrade but dont forget about a video card if your're looking for a gamming system.

The A3200xp (2.2GHz, socket A) is about $220 and the P4 3c is similar at $212. From an athlon pov it might be good to compare the cheaper A64- 3000 (2GHz, socket 754) at about $211 vs the slightly more expensive A3200. The A64 has beter future 64bit OS upgrade possibilities whereas the 3200 just has a bit higher clock. ? 512KB or 384KB cache, micron/barton core? The thing is with these socket A motherboards the Athlon nforce3 will be changing to a different cpu seating soon.
That should be more than adequate for your gaming needs. I hope you like paying your electricity bill.

TallonX i assume you're refereing to the round IDE cable. They simply a replacment for the current IDE ribbons you're using to attach all your drives to your MOBO, simply take out the ribbons and put in the round ide cables they attach the same was as the ribbons. heres a link with a picture of what they look like..they come in all sort of colours including glow in the dark ones.Canadian store so prices are probably a little higher then you're use to.
