Very aproppriate response to issues about lag in AC2 I've noticed what is becomming a trend here: ppl who run out of valid arguments about their issues they just start talking about low population in AC2.
Yes population is low but growing. However I always find enough ppl to do quests or fight in KvK with them so everything is ok for me.

*playing non-smart on purpose eh?*
*You know very well what the point is. You know very well what those horrifying dismal low number of accounts mean.*
More current proof that AC2 is a dead/dying MMORPG.
More current proof of how many accounts AC2 has.
More current proof of how far from being a hit, how far from being successfull, AC2 is.
More current proof of how AC2 lost 90% of its players since release.
And this is ALL one YEAR after AC2 , a brand new, ultra modern, MMORPG, with a new game engine, released.
Your post does not refer to original topic, it does not relate to any other post in this thread.
There is my question what is the purpose of posting a reply on topic if this reply does not relate to anything in this thread?
I suggest to check out dictionary for some of your favourite words like "proof". Check as well what is "topic" as you seem to completely ignore that litle aspect os discusion board.
And at the very end ask youreself "Why do I waste my energy on dying game?". According to your "proofs" game will die in month, 2 months, 6 months, either way why waste your time on already dead game. Get a life maybe wake up and smell the coffe people who play AC2 and enjoy it dont give a rat ass about your rambling and apart from 2-3 bored trolls dont even visit this relatively small game site. Your rambling here entertain me in my breaks and maybe few other have a laugh at you sometimes and thats all there is to it. Your impact on AC2 success or failure is completely insignificant. Your not scraing potential customers I think if anyone read your blable he probably decided to download trial and give it a try to see how really bad that game is (Turbine should thank you for doing a good job).
Maybe spend some time to get some customers for SWG as I've heard populations is gonna hit the bottom rock soon.

AC2 was horrid, hollow, and boring. They didn't move fast enough to address people's core concerns about game balance, forced grouping, and fun of gameplay.
They are bascially nursing a stagnant but stable population that will remain with them until the next big mmorpg comes out. After that, no amount of bs by the development team will matter.
These days, new MMORPG's that aren't instant megahits have about 4 months to fix their core issues before people bail on the game enmass. That should be more of an incentive for gaming companies to listen to their beta testers, quit rushing to release, and putting out incomplete products with major content lapses.
Your post does not refer to original topic, it does not relate to any other post in this thread.
Sure it does. I reposted part of someone elses post. If you belive my post is sooo worthless, then don't forget to be fair and say the same about the other person's post that I simply repeated.
There is my question what is the purpose of posting a reply on topic if this reply does not relate to anything in this thread?
Why don't you ask this question to the person who's post I simply copied and re-posted?
I suggest to check out dictionary for some of your favourite words like "proof". Check as well what is "topic" as you seem to completely ignore that litle aspect os discusion board.
With this statement of yours in mind, you:
1. Have made no effort to post any more attempts at proofs to REFUTE what current AC2 players are saying which is AC2 at non-peak hours has on avarage *sniff* 400 players on each of its 7 servers. AC2 still after being out for 1 year is light years from being a successfull MMORPG.
2. My post was simply a re-posting of someone else's post. You claim I'm off topic? But then you mention nothing about the other person who was the original poster of the information I re-posted?
You then for some strange reason go even further off topic a few lines down and mention SWG?!?
And at the very end ask youreself "Why do I waste my energy on dying game?".
STOP THE PRESS!!!! Entico has ADMITTED AC2 is a dying game! He has pulled off the veil of denial and said AC2 is a "....dying game" Whoah hooo hooo!!!
Now you know what ALL former AC2 players long knew, what I know, what current AC2 players who are fair minded know, and what all the lurkers reading this long know.
According to your "proofs" game will die in month, 2 months, 6 months, either way why waste your time on already dead game.
Slow down, I NEVER ever stated when I think AC2 will die LOL! I have always said it is a dying MMORPG. It basically IS already dead, but MicroSoft aka Turbines sugardaddy, asorbed the loss. If or when MicroSoft completes the sale of AC2 back to Turbine, Turbine will be getting a "free" MMORPG.
Since AC2 will not, cannot, recap the 15 million to 20 million to 25 million it cost to make it, it is from a buisness standpoint a failed , dead MMORPG already. 5,000 accounts will take a heck of a long time to make 15 million to 25 million. And this is with AC2 compeating vs OLD MMORPGs. Just wait until the newest MMORPGs of the same generation as AC2, which are also Tolkien-Themed get released!
Get a life maybe wake up and smell the coffe people who play AC2 and enjoy it dont give a rat ass about your rambling and apart from 2-3 bored trolls dont even visit this relatively small game site. Now this is intresting. As I posted before, I'm not primarily here for YOU. YOU have already made an INFORMED decision to give AC2 your money and irreplaceable time, even though AC2 is not a successfull MMORPG after being out for more than 1 year.
Me posting facts, and proof, is not "rambling". It is telling it like it is. CURRENT AC2 players who have backed me up are not "rambling" when they post the facts, and proof, about AC2's current state.
And hey, if you think I'm helping AC2 by posting the facts about it, then why are you sooo upset and defensive? If you want to see me as "scaring away" potiential customers go ahead..... but it is not me "scaring them away" it is AC2 that is solely responsible for driving customers away. I am just making sure AC2 is not forgotten.
I am making sure ALL lurkers are fully, 100% INFORMED about everything about AC2. I am making sure the rest of the industry also stays INFORMED about AC2. In the same way the Pinto and Suzuki Samarai are both held up in front of the car industry by the news media..... AC2 is/will be held up in front of the MMORPG industry by the media which includes the press, as well as word of mouth.
Maybe spend some time to get some customers for SWG as I've heard populations is gonna hit the bottom rock soon.
AC2 has 5,000 or less accounts and to you it is a wonderful "successful game". SWG has easily more than 5,000 accounts, easily more than 100,000 accounts and you want to bash it eh?
Your right you reposted someone elses post and not commentet it even with one line of text from youreself thus your post was 100% worthless, meaningless and offtopic.
Person who originally posted it actually made and effort and posted something, you did not do that.
Have made no effort to post any more attempts at proofs to REFUTE what current AC2 players are saying ...
I am current AC2 player, going by your logic my word is a proof, so now I say AC2 has 200.000 accounts. Here there is your proof .
And on the serious note, find where I gave number of people being online at any given time.
Succesfull or not it's only your opinion based on false assumption that "succesfull" MMORPG must have 100.000 subscribers. Opinions whether MMORPG is succesfull or not will always be subjective and there is no objective criteria to measure "succesfullness" or a game.
Again you did not post anything thus you spammed and were off topic.
I never said seriously AC2 is a dying game, I only have taken your and other bashers words and used them, If you missed sarcasm in this sentence I must have overestimated you sorry, I really though you are brighter.
Slow down, I NEVER ever stated when I think AC2 will die LOL! I have always said it is a dying MMORPG. It basically IS already dead, ...
Contradiction here, I suggest read post before hitting "Post Message".
but MicroSoft aka Turbines sugardaddy, asorbed the loss. If or when MicroSoft completes the sale of AC2 back to Turbine, Turbine will be getting a "free" MMORPG.
AC2 is sold back to Turbine and free from MS. MS only provide some services for Turbine (biling - untill Turbine create its own biling system, customer service - not for long tho, Turbine is hiring new admins atm).
Since AC2 will not, cannot, recap the 15 million to 20 million to 25 million it cost to make it, it is from a buisness standpoint a failed , dead MMORPG already.
You raised production cost from 10 mln to 25 now, nice . Anyway as I already stated thanks to AC2 development Turbine has working and well tested Turbine Engine which will be used in very anticipated MEO. I have a feeling financial future looks very promising for them.
Just wait until the newest MMORPGs of the same generation as AC2, which are also Tolkien-Themed get released!
Are you saying AC2 is Tolkien-Themed? Uh ok....
Me posting facts, and proof, is not "rambling".
Only thing you want to post are AC2 subscription numbers and even those you get wrong. You can find on the web current server numbers and based on it estimated number of active accounts but you abviously did not do that, you guessed its 5k and keep going about it, let me correct you, your guess is completely false.
If anyone is interested PM me Ill send you a link.
Tip: It's very easy to find .
CURRENT AC2 players who have backed me up are not "rambling" when they post the facts, and proof, about AC2's current state
Apart from assumed subscription numbers, what else have YOU posted about CURRENT state of the game within last lets say 2 months?
I am making sure ALL lurkers are fully, 100% INFORMED about everything about AC2.
And how do you do that not having idea about how game looks like right now? You quit AC2 9 months ago.
AC2 has 5,000 or less accounts and to you it is a wonderful "successful game". SWG has easily more than 5,000 accounts, easily more than 100,000 accounts and you want to bash it eh?
False, false and false yet again. I wont comment on AC2 accounts as there is no need to repeas same thing over and over again.
I see you no longer claim SWG has 300k active accounts, welcome to reality, here is another dose: SWG hasn't got 100k accounts either. About 60% of people who purchased game soon after relase quit game withing first 3 months out of pure boredoom. Currently estimate number of active account is 75k and falling down in steady pace.
I dont want to bash it I just give you friendly advice.

There was no need for me to comment. I was holding his post up as further proof of what I have loong been saying about AC2. That it has roughly 5,000 accounts left. This is after multiplying by * 2 the amount of online players to make up for the offline players who are sleeping, at work, school, different time zones, etc....
Person who originally posted it actually made and effort and posted something, you did not do that.
Like I said, nothing more by me needed to be added. The original poster, AlphaMalebsr (sp?) said it all.
Have made no effort to post any more attempts at proofs to REFUTE what current AC2 players are saying ...
I am current AC2 player, going by your logic my word is a proof, so now I say AC2 has 200.000 accounts. Here there is your proof .
Now look at what AlphaMalebsr posted LOL! He is ALSO a current AC2 player. Plus the current AC2 players who have posted that AC2 has 5,000 accounts outnumber you.
Then add on what the press has said, what I have seen myself in game when I last played, the fact MicroSoft is getting rid of AC2, and it is a tiny bit obvious you are lying when you now say AC2 has 200,000 players.
And on the serious note, find where I gave number of people being online at any given time.
Re-read my quote. I said current AC2 players have posted how many people play AC2. YOU obvioiusly have never ever posted (on purpose) how many accounts AC2 has. LOL.
YOU are NOT the ONLY current AC2 player (not yet at least...... )
Kudos to those brave, fair minded, AC2 players (AlphaMalebsr and others) currently playing AC2 who have stepped forward and posted how many players are online at peak time, and off peak time.
Succesfull or not it's only your opinion based on false assumption that "succesfull" MMORPG must have 100.000 subscribers. Opinions whether MMORPG is succesfull or not will always be subjective and there is no objective criteria to measure "succesfullness" or a game.
Incorrect. MMORPGs are a buisness. Thus there IS an objective criteria to measure a successfull game, and how successfull it is.
- How much does it cost to get made.
- How long will it take to make back initial investment.
- How long will it take to turn a true profit.
A buisness must make a profit, or else it will go the same way as Motor City Online aka MCO. AC2's loss has been asorbed by multi-billion $$$$$ parent company MicroSoft. Turbine is now getting a free MMORPG after MicroSoft finnishes selling AC2 to Turbine. AC2 has 5,000 accounts or less. AC2 cost a minimum of 15 million to make, maximum of 25 million to make. Do the math.
The MMORPG industry standard for a MMORPG to be successfull is having 100,000 accounts, or as close to 100k accounts (like 75k, 85k, or 95k will still turn a profit, just take a bit longer. But still within range.)
It is your opinion vs Mr. Reality. Those 90% of players who left AC2 follow the opinion of Mr. Reality.
Again you did not post anything thus you spammed and were off topic.
I reposted a point AlphaMalebsr made. Which was further proof backing up what 90% of former AC2 players know, the majority of current lurkers at these forums know, and what I have known and posted.
I never said seriously AC2 is a dying game, I only have taken your and other bashers words and used them, If you missed sarcasm in this sentence I must have overestimated you sorry, I really though you are brighter.
Heh, even in this quote of yours you have hesitantly admitted AC2 is dying.
"I never said seriously AC2 is a dying game."
Tell me this, are the server numbers AlphaMalebsr, and other current AC2 players posting anywhere near correct? Are they? Are they?
Slow down, I NEVER ever stated when I think AC2 will die LOL! I have always said it is a dying MMORPG. It basically IS already dead, ...
Contradiction here, I suggest read post before hitting "Post Message".
Saying a game is dying is not the same as saying when it will die LOL!
Right now you and I are dying. But the time we die could be 20yrs, to 40 years, to 80 years from now. Definatly by 150 years from now.
Everyone KNEW MCO was dying, and posted that fact. But no one knew or posted when it would die. In fact, it still had roughly 20,000 accounts when it was put out of its misery.
but MicroSoft aka Turbines sugardaddy, asorbed the loss.
Err guy, you say Turbine is FREE from MS. Then you say MS is still in the picture? LOL.
The full ownership of AC2 is still being compleated. Especially while MS is still controling the billing.
Incorrect. I never ever said AC2 cost 10 million to make. I originally said 20 million avarage. Then I LOWERED it down to 15 million to go out on a limb.
Is MEO out yet? Has MEO made any money at all for Turbine yet?
No and no. Thus AC2 has still not broken even the investment money.
Just wait until the newest MMORPGs of the same generation as AC2, which are also Tolkien-Themed get released!
Are you saying AC2 is Tolkien-Themed? Uh ok....
What else is AC2? Sci-Fi themed? Do you know who J.R.R. Tolkien is? How many books he wrote? How he repopularized Northwestern European and Northern European myth, lore, and tales? The fact that he directly influenced Dungeons and Dragons which influenced Tolkien-themed RPGs, which influenced Tolkien-themed MMORPGs.
AC2 is set in a simular enviorment as AC, EQ, UO, DAoC, Astonia 3, RuneScape, etc.. etc... aka a medieval type setting with swords and sorcery. Dungeons and Dragons. Warriors and Wizards. Magic and Might. Etc... etc...
So why don't YOU post how many players are online playing AC2?
AlphaMalebsr has posted how many players are currently online playing AC2. Along with other current AC2 players. Are they all wrong or right?
If anyone is interested PM me Ill send you a link.
Tip: It's very easy to find .
CURRENT AC2 players who have backed me up are not "rambling" when they post the facts, and proof, about AC2's current state
Apart from assumed subscription numbers, what else have YOU posted about CURRENT state of the game within last lets say 2 months?
Why do you keep ignoring what other current AC2 players are posting? Why do you keep ignoring what AlphaMalebsr keeps posting?
I am making sure ALL lurkers are fully, 100% INFORMED about everything about AC2.
And how do you do that not having idea about how game looks like right now? You quit AC2 9 months ago.
See next statment.......
Yet again you keep on refusing to post how many accounts AC2 has LOL!
Kudos to the other current AC2 players for posting how many accounts AC2 currently has!
Eh guy, re-read my post. I said SWG easily has more than 5,000 accounts, (does this mean I am saying SWG has 20,000 accounts? LOLOL)
it easily has more than 100,000 accounts aka SWG is a bona fid success. Me saying it easily has more than 100,000 accounts still supports me saying it has over 300,000 accounts.
Last, there are seperate forums for SWG. This is about AC2, and the number of accounts AC2 has. And how AC2 is NOT a successfull MMORPG.
I dont want to bash it I just give you friendly advice.
Again, this is about AC2 and the number of accounts AC2 has. And how AC2 after 1 year of release, is NOT a successfull MMORPG.
With your logic, everyone who has ac2 account would play 12 hours per day, every single day.
--- MMORPG's are like graphical IRC clients where you can kill stuff!
Alright, double it then 6,400 accounts LOLOL! That would be an avag of everyone playing 6 hours a day.
Double it again, 12,800 accounts. That would be an avarage of everyone playing 3 hours a day.
AC2 is now a runaway success!
My quote that you quoted also takes into account the fact that there are times when AC2 has LESS than the amount of players online that AlphaMalebsr saw.
I was holding his post up as further proof of what I have loong been saying about AC2.
I'm eager to see how does it prove what you have to say....
That it has roughly 5,000 accounts left. This is after multiplying by * 2 the amount of online players to make up for the offline players who are sleeping, at work, school, different time zones, etc....
Well thats some smart calculation, and that multiplaying by *2 is from? Pulled it from under your bed? In your opinion half of the active accounts play all the time? Why not 1/100? or maybe is it 1/5 wait wait I know its 1/13 riight?
Like I said, nothing more by me needed to be added. The original poster, AlphaMalebsr (sp?) said it all.
Why did you post then? Why clicked "Post Message" if you have nothing to say?
I am current AC2 player, going by your logic my word is a proof, so now I say AC2 has 200.000 accounts. Here there is your proof .
Now look at what AlphaMalebsr posted LOL! He is ALSO a current AC2 player. Plus the current AC2 players who have posted that AC2 has 5,000 accounts outnumber you.
Uhm and where did he post that AC2 had 5k accounts? care to post a link? And why would his word be better than mine? I know that logic "he agree with me so he must be right" my 3 year old nephew used same logic to get sweets.
Then add on what the press has said, what I have seen myself in game when I last played, the fact MicroSoft is getting rid of AC2, and it is a tiny bit obvious you are lying when you now say AC2 has 200,000 players.
So where is this press saying about 5k accounts? Why as MS also selling AC - in your opinion sucesfull MMORPG? Your logic doesnt add up at all. MS decided to sell AC becouse it's working on it's own MMORPG. This is well known fact and was expected for quite a while since MS announced it.
And on the serious note, find where I gave number of people being online at any given time.
Re-read my quote. I said current AC2 players have posted how many people play AC2. YOU obvioiusly have never ever posted (on purpose) how many accounts AC2 has. LOL.
You abviously dont read my posts I have posted information about current population on AC2 servers. I wonder why do I even bother to post anything if you dont read it.
YOU are NOT the ONLY current AC2 player (not yet at least...... )
You are not AC2 player at all so what?
Kudos to those brave, fair minded, AC2 players (AlphaMalebsr and others) currently playing AC2 who have stepped forward and posted how many players are online at peak time, and off peak time.
Hmm thanks xplororor kudos from you makes me all warm and fuzzy inside
Succesfull or not it's only your opinion based on false assumption that "succesfull" MMORPG must have 100.000 subscribers. Opinions whether MMORPG is succesfull or not will always be subjective and there is no objective criteria to measure "succesfullness" or a game.
Incorrect. MMORPGs are a buisness. Thus there IS an objective criteria to measure a successfull game, and how successfull it is.

Do the math.
Wrong wrong and wrong. Profitable and succesfull thats 2 different words, while AC2 might not be profitable just yet, it may however prove to be very succesfull for their producers - Turbine Entertainment.
The MMORPG industry standard for a MMORPG to be successfull is having 100,000 accounts, or as close to 100k accounts (like 75k, 85k, or 95k will still turn a profit, just take a bit longer. But still within range.)
There is no such standards you must have sucked it of your thumb. It's your subjective opinion based on false assumptions.
It is your opinion vs Mr. Reality. Those 90% of players who left AC2 follow the opinion of Mr. Reality.
You are last person I know who can talk anything about reality, let me remind you alien bases on mars and moon, angels etc...
Again you did not post anything thus you spammed and were off topic.
I reposted a point AlphaMalebsr made. Which was further proof backing up what 90% of former AC2 players know, the majority of current lurkers at these forums know, and what I have known and posted.
You did not post anything, you SPAMMED forum with repost without commenting it with one word even. Why post if you have NOTHING to say.
English is my second language and I probably messed up this sentence. I never seriously said AC2 is dying game. Better now?
Tell me this, are the server numbers AlphaMalebsr, and other current AC2 players posting anywhere near correct? Are they? Are they?
Find my post on this forum regarding server numbers, you even reply in the same thread where I posted server numbers thanks for not reading my post .

Wrong wrong and wrong again. Please read what I post and do not try to twist my words, I'm saying MS is doing service FOR Turbine. Turbine has full ownership of AC franchise.
Since AC2 will not, cannot, recap the 15 million to 20 million to 25 million it cost to make it, it is from a buisness standpoint a failed , dead MMORPG already.

"Fantasy" does not equal "Tolkien" and even if you want to be that way, still AC and AC2 is settled in very unique and different from traditional fantasy world.
Majority of Tolkien stories is somewhat tied to world of MiddleEarth. Tolkiens books are in no way tied with AC franchise. Where in AC are elves, dwarwes, ents, orcs, hobbits, humans oooo yeahhh AC has humans there is a link, yeah AC myst be Tolkien-Themed. Go read some of Tolkien books and play some AC before you pop crap like this again.
AC2 is set in a simular enviorment as AC, EQ, UO, DAoC, Astonia 3, RuneScape, etc.. etc... aka a medieval type setting with swords and sorcery. Dungeons and Dragons. Warriors and Wizards. Magic and Might. Etc... etc...
And this environment was only (first time) described by Tolkien, yeah right
AC is set in COMPLETELY different environment than EQ, UO or DAoC. AC has its own very rich lore unique fauna and flora, apart from human race there is NOTHING that can tie those worlds.
So why don't YOU post how many players are online playing AC2?
Wrong again I do post you don't read. I do post once, you do it 10 times in every thread, this is SPAMMING and RAMBLING.
AlphaMalebsr has posted how many players are currently online playing AC2. Along with other current AC2 players. Are they all wrong or right?
If anyone is interested PM me Ill send you a link.
Tip: It's very easy to find .
CURRENT AC2 players who have backed me up are not "rambling" when they post the facts, and proof, about AC2's current state
Current players post their experience, you dont do it, you are spamming and rambling about subscription numbers like it was game feature.
Apart from assumed subscription numbers, what else have YOU posted about CURRENT state of the game within last lets say 2 months?
Why do you keep ignoring what other current AC2 players are posting? Why do you keep ignoring what AlphaMalebsr keeps posting?
Why dont you answer straight question when asked and hide behind Alpha?
I am making sure ALL lurkers are fully, 100% INFORMED about everything about AC2.
And how do you do that not having idea about how game looks like right now? You quit AC2 9 months ago.
See next statment.......
Yet again you keep on refusing to post how many accounts AC2 has LOL!
I refuse to post how many accounts AC2 has, simply becouse I dont know. I can only assume but I dont want to make an ass from you and me (specially me
Kudos to the other current AC2 players for posting how many accounts AC2 currently has!
Nowhere in title of this forum or this thread I see "about how many accounts AC2 has". You must missread something again.
I dont want to bash it I just give you friendly advice.
Again, this is about AC2 and the number of accounts AC2 has. And how AC2 after 1 year of release, is NOT a successfull MMORPG.
Actually read topic of this thread, this is NOT about how successfull or not AC2 is.
============================== And besides, like it or not, people do try to "win" massively multiplayer RPGs. The rules of engagement are something like this: * If there is a status bar, make it grow bigger * If there is a number, make it higher * If it moves, either get a mission from it or kill it

Comments
I've noticed what is becomming a trend here: ppl who run out of valid arguments about their issues they just start talking about low population in AC2.
Yes population is low but growing. However I always find enough ppl to do quests or fight in KvK with them so everything is ok for me.

Uh ok....

Let's see, 1,600 (yep I'm going out on a limb here...) divided by 7 is.... a solid
230 players on avarage spread across every single server.
Double that total figure to make up for players who are offline sleeping, at work, school, different time zones, etc...
Roughy 3,200 total accounts.
I'll still keep going out on a limb and saying 5,000 total accounts though.
*sigh* is this guy stupid or what
With your logic, everyone who has ac2 account would play 12 hours per day, every single day.
