Sony releasing an Entropia Universe competitor in January?

I've heard from a number of sources that Sony is currently in beta on an MMORPG that has a real world economy similar to Entropia Universe and has plans to release it in January...  Has anyone else heard anything about this?

    they announced something @ last years AGC, i cant remember the exact details but there has been no info since

    Yeah there's rumors going around, but I most certainly wouldn't expect it by January seeing as how all anyone has heard up til this point are most rumors.
