    i really do NOT see how they can pull this off

    the best job they can do is to make it like anarchy online... and the game will have next to nothing to do with the matrix

    I do. It will only be in the Matrix, and it will be a continuation of the storyline, not a mere reproduction of the orginial Matrix films. Also, It will have "Interlock" which is a blending of turn based- and real time- RPG battles, the likes of which I've never seen, and trust me, I've seen a lot.

     

    I would be interested in making a guild, or "crew" as it will be called in the game. i am pretty good at HTML and web-programming, so if you want to start one, give me a shout.

     

    *sighs* how long will they make us suffer before the beta comes out?

    Yeah I'm not too worried about this one flopping to be honest with you.  I read that the Wachowski brothers will have a hand in this as well.  They probably won't have total say, but enough to keep it from going to crap.  (please bite your tongues as your own opinions of revolutions comes rushing in)

    I would love to get involved in a guild or "crew," but does anyone know if the players will have the option of playing on the agent/machine side?  I've been digging around for the answer to this for some time now.

    you will be allowed to only play as human beings, howver you can actually either be part of zion or work directly for the machines only to uphold the matrix, but the entire game will take place within the matrix, no outside gameplay, loging on is like jacking in

    I might get The Matrix Online, but I have to see how it turns out. I like the idea of bullet time, and the graphics are great (although there are only a few screens).

    This is what will happen it always happen with games that are made of movies, the creators will think that just because it was a great movie it will be a great game so they will just they will just throw in some graphics a storyline and something that will make everything look like the matrix and they forget the gameplay and that is where everything goes to hell.image

    Or it will become something like Tron. If it is UBI that is behind the game then it may have a good chanceimage

    If you are dying for some awesome Matrix action try the Matrix mod for quake 3 I know it's not a MMOG but
    it has the bullet time and wall walking.....awesome effects I hope that the MMOG will look this good when it comes out.

    The Matrix...in a word...HOMO.  The movies I will admit were good, with the exception of Reloaded image.  The thing about this game will be all the people who will want to be "THE ONE".  I'm the one!  No, I'M the ONE... YOUR BOTH WRONG I AM THE ONE....just the type of conversations I could see on a typical server on this game....lol.

    I enjoyed the 1st movie the other 2 just didn't seem to pull me in like the 1st one. When I heard about this game I thought it was a joke, and then I saw the website.

    I'm interested in seeing how they will pull this off since the matrix is set around our time, and I mean really would you wander around killing agents, and other people for xp? What kind of loot will they have since in the movies they can just run a program and bang you got what ya need?

    I'm not interested because I want to play it I just think for them to pull it off it's going to have to be something different, if not it's just going to be sad.

    How the hell do you make an MMORPG out of the MATRIX? As if they didnt fk up the Matrix with the two sequels.. good god.. The 1st move was l33t.. then it made such a booming buisness.. they wanted more money.. oooo i have an idea.. lets make it a 3 movie series.. like starwars and lotr.. oh and lets release video games for every console.. aw sh*t.. might as well make an MMORPG too.. wtf..

    if this game comes out.. im opening up a c*ck_bar. fosho.. *choke* image

    I totally agree with murt.  Matrix Online sounds like an awesome game but it is going to flop big time.  The said that it was going to be tied in with the movies were Reloaded left off.  Uhh, how can it be?  First there are agents in the game.  REloaded concluded with man and machine living together and giving man a choice to be in the matrix.  Therefore there would be no need for agents.  Another thing Neo was the one which made him in a sense be able to "hack" the matrix while he was in the matrix.  Since Matrix Online is strictly in the Matrix they could not fit the job of operator in the game, so what did they do?  They created a job as a hacker in the matrix.  This would give you "the one" powers.  I hate to say but Matrix is only going to be eye candy.  Playability and fun factor will be mediocore at best.  It will be like SWG.  The player base will be made from hardcore movie fans.
