WoW Forums at official site = trolling for your viewing pleasure

This is just my opinion only, but I am increadibly amazed at how much trolling and flaming that goes on at the official WoW forums!

It's like about 500 pissed off people decided to get together and post things on forums to piss the other off.

I don't know...maybe it's just me? image I just never read so much trolls and flames in all my life (well, except for the SWG forums before release)

People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

    I will admit we do have an awesome staff here to keep us up on things.  The WOW boards are ummm, just not worth it to post.  No need getting my head bashed over everything that is said.  I shall remain loyal here instead lol.  You just can't beat the system Admin and staff here, best there is so far.

    Thank you Sys Admin and Staff for being so good to us.

    I agree...these boards are much much better, even though these boards sometimes have their fair share of idiotic posts and flaming too.

    But, those official WoW boards are such a mess, it doesnt help that the average maturity level of a large portion of the posters there seems to be about 11 years old. Its also incredible how many people on there are so ignorant of what the actual product is. Seems to be a large section of them who really dont have a clue about mmorpgs, or the style of WoWs gameplay, or that they have to pay to play, or think that its all like diablo2 or warcraft 3 and they will be playing it on Battle.net.....the number of times people have talked about playing it on multiplayer on LAN is astounding.

    I only hope that there will be new boards when the game goes live...preferably that require a valid WoW CD-key to post on.

    The official message board needs to be moderated more. It would weed out alot of the bad apples if it was.

    It only goes to show you that you cannot judge a game based on the contents of forums, though many people make that mistake time and time again.

    You cant Blame the people for that there just Board, so they just start some stupid argument or a idiotic post as you would say just to give them something to do.

    I think I can blame the users for that. I get bored but I dont go round making idiotic posts and starting arguments when I am bored :)

    Usually if I am bored at my pc, I go and do something else. I would say that if someone deals with boredom by being idiotic, that its safe to say thats their fault :)

    Ya same here, When I get board I go out to find something else to do, but their are some people that really cant find anything else to do.

    Some people just like to figure things out... and anyone who does learns that people will become infuriated with any idea they didnt come up with themselves pretty damn fast.  (and learn not to give a flip about pissing people off either)

    Those people are also responsible for every advancement ever made...

    A lot of it is numbers; there's just a LOT of people on the WoW boards. And it's always the worst that seems to dominate any forum. They've all had plenty of practice being brats on b.net.

    It's also pretty much un-moderated. They scan the boards and remove the worst of the obvious offenders, but it's hard for them to keep up.

    In that forum, you'll be flamed if you start a non pro-blizzard thread. Saw it many times, even if the poster made a good point in his thread, he gt flamed cause he ain't a blizzy fanboy.
