Not many people buy things online in DAOC.  They have an awesome housing system where you can buy items from people.  If people sell anything on the internet I would assume it would be that Plat.  It goes for a good price.  Items are easy to get just plan a raid or something.  Get a guildy group.  DAOC requires some patience too, uberness does not come as fast as other games.

    1.  Reach Level 39 go to molvik - Max RR and ML for that BG

    2. Level 44 Go to Liervik - Rinse and repeat Molvik

    3. Hit level 50 complete ML's do Champ quests

    4. Get Artis and level them; level your champ xp also

    5. Blast away on the frontiers and have fun

There is a housing area in DAOC.  The easiest way to get there is to go to the capitals and find a teleporter to send you there.  Go to the entrence and then go to a market explorer.  You can then search for items in a myraid of different ways.  I would have the level range be withint 5-10 levels of you.

I will say that lower level equipment is often hard to find on merchants.  People level so fast at lower levels, and with drops, aurulite, and DF gear, there just isn't a lot of demand.  If you cannot find decent equipment to buy, then go to Catacombs or DF.

Does that mean level 50 is the level cap?

Yes for character level but there is still plenty of grinding left.  ML's and Champ Quest take a while.

Yes, but then you have to get Master Levels, Champion Levels and RVR Levels (Realm Points).  The game does NOT end at 50 :)  Not by a long long shot.

(Note:  On the classic servers there are no Master Levels).
