soe is slowly with each publish reverting to pre nge.....its no longer
a tin foil hat idea but just look at what they are doing last few
publishes





specials fired from keys


target lock


auto attack

innate armor


over the shoulder camera view is toggle-able next publish





everything is going backwards








and with upcoming smuggler expertise....ever notice that with every smuggler change we preceed a combat / gameplay change?


NGE was preceeded by expectations of smuggling system and ranger revamp, same was right before the CU


seems to merit what brenlo was talking about when he apologised and
referred to the NGE all in the past tense. i think soe finally admitted
their mistake.

    Well, there IS a quicker way to fix it.

    Regardless of how many baby steps they take, they'll never bring back the old profession-system. Even if they start adding more classes it will never be a valid substitute, even if they make the cheap hack called "respec" free - being able to change classes that way is just a cheap hack, and nowhere near as fun and interesting as being able to mix professions.

    The Keys worked fine before..it is not the same.

    First off make no mistake the expertise system is not what we had.. this is a rip off from wow --

    Target lock had it before, this is not the same.

    auto attack, still not exactly the same

    innate armor, another "we had it before and it won't be the same:..

    Center camera, had it before thank goodness they have to waste time adding it again.

    Then in about 5 years we might have half the game back minus the population.. oustanding.

    While I see your in a hope mode and trying to get people to trust them.. it will not happen.  Some are the wiser for thier mistakes.

    There is no way other then to do the famous word they swore not use.

    There is to many things that these people would never be able to "COPY" into the NGE... in fact, It is not possible actually.

    So in the end the NGE is going to be a bastardized version of what we once loved, alot easier cheaper and thin.

    Well, there is a quick way to do it.  And the lack of the previous 30+ professions means they are not going back to pre-NGE.  At least, I see no plans to introduce new professions under the guise of expanding the game.

    All I see them doing is completing the transformation to the Diablo 2 Star Wars mod.

    It aint babysteps.

    It's them trying to save their face from the tactical blunder of the century.

    And no, not save their face from the customer, but from their bosses and the corporation, and sooner or later, their resumes.

    They aint taking babysteps, they are trying not to admit that their "kiddie uberl33T pew pew pew "I killed you" - "you did not! My saber deflected it waaaaah" childrens game changes" was the hugest mistake they ever have done, and that it did NOT cost them their customers.
