EQ2 is good?

I don't think so. Ok, so I was having fun until I hit the brick wall of 19 (20). I rolled on the PvP server of Nagafen which was listed as high pop...I guess it's a relative term. I rolled a templar which is supposedly the premier group healer and it was still even laborious to find a group to go and xp. Then there's only one low level dungeon that freeporters can't get in (I rolled Qeynos) and that is FMG. So when you finally find a group that is ready to go and you're tired of being ganked 29 times the last hour, you're ready to get away for some quiet XPing...wrong. "sorry, I'm locked out of fmg for 13 hours." " Me too." UGHHHH. So after 4 hours of trying to hit lvl 20, I only gain 30% and cannot for the life of me find any groups. If you are wondering about trying EQ2 out, don't bother. Unless you want to roll a specifically geraed solo class on a PvE server, it will be hard to catch up. If you roll on a PvP server, you are forced to roll a scout class on the freeport side. If you are looking for true options to play how you want the full MMO experience, forget it. This game is past the point where you can casually catch up. The pop is too low to play a support class.

Why were you going/trying to go to Firemyst Gully for exp? That zone is just for a quest at low levels, then another at higher levels with epic raid mobs inside. I susgest you go to Stormhold and find a group, that place is always packed no matter what server you are on. I play on Mistmoore and made a Bruiser about 6 days ago, he is level 17, off casual gameplay.

And no, you arent forced to roll anything on any side, play what you want to play.

Well, LFG did me no good in finding people. And I'm not going to sit around SH entrance with the ridiculous amount of freeps ganking. Do people read chat at all? Just curious.

Oh and FMG is pretty good XP. 15-17 heroics. Leveled 3 times in an hour there.

Did you have LFG turned on, or were you just using the chat? Alot of people turn the channels off when they dont need touse them to prevent spam.

Actually he is kind of right about having to roll certain classes to make any progress.  If I didn't know better i'd swear 60% of Ven and Nag (the two pvp servers I play/played on) were Scout classes.  Then 20% was some sort of caster (either Wizard or Necro take your pick).  Most of the people I know that rolled on the severs didn't roll classes they wanted to play.   They rolled classes they thought would give them better odds.  (i.e Stealth, Range, or good upfront Spell damage)   Out of the 8 people that came to Nag with me from Grobb, only me and one other rolled classes we actually wanted to play. (Tried Ven after Nag because even from start Nag was higher pop by far then Ven was)

    In Peace - Vigilance.
    In Death - Sacrifice.

Erm FMG is a raid zone dunno who told you that it was a normal zone. The low level dungeons are - blackburrow, stormhold and that place off peat bog(keep forgetting the name sorry but it was my favourite zone ) from the queynos side.At 20s other options open up for you to dungeon crawl but till you hit mid 20s this will do you fine.

Also you roll pvp prepare for ganking.

I recently (May-June) played on a PvE server as a (Qeynos) Warden and found my services as a healer were highly desired. I got random tells for groups with NO lfg flag up. Maybe things are different on the PvP servers. *shrug*

get involved in a guild. Most parties now are guild oriented.

Either that or get a class that can solo well like a Warden

Ya, it's actually not a bad game. I recommend trying it if you never have. It's come a long way since release, but it still bores me to tears...Even on the PvP servers. With the sad state of the industry at the moment, EQ2 is one of the best MMOs out right now. Now that IS sad...

Yep. Warden and Fury are great solo'ers. Monk, Bruiser, Paladin and Shadowknight are as well, but to a little lesser extent.

Even an SoE hater like me would agree, now that's a bit sad.
