hi everybody and im a casual gamer.
i play for 30 minutes to 3 hours per day.
i also have a kind of old computer( can run games like WoW or DAoC).
i HATE quests that are like "kill 10 of these", after play silkroad with the kill 2000 of these.
im thinking about EQ1 or WoW.
what do you think?

Games I've played/tried out:WAR, LOTRO, Tabula Rasa, AoC, EQ1, EQ2, WoW, Vangaurd, FFXI, D&DO, Lineage 2, Saga Of Ryzom, EvE Online, DAoC, Guild Wars,Star Wars Galaxies, Hell Gate London, Auto Assault, Grando Espada ( AKA SoTNW ), Archlord, CoV/H, Star Trek Online, APB, Champions Online, FFXIV, Rift Online, GW2.
Game(s) I Am Currently Playing:
GW2 (+LoL and BF3)
If you don't like kill task (I feel your pain) try Guild Wars. Its has a solid quest/story driven mission system and is excellent for casual gamers. Guild Wars is easy on the system specs also.
WoW is going to feed you a bunch of kill task. The only redeaming thing about WoW is its fast and easy, so its good for a casual player in that sense but the game depth overall is pretty junky. Level to cap, PvP grind for honor or raid, other then that, you can reroll and level again.
If you go with WoW, just keep in mind that the game does not want you after you hit level sixty. I find that managing expectations is the way to avoid bitterness later.
If you're looking for a game you can play for longer than six months, you might want to look at EQ2 (which will run on an older computer if you adjust the settings) or DAoC on a classic server. If you prefer PvE and crafting, go with EQ2. If you prefer PvP try DAoC.

Awesome Free Trading Card Game!
Your cards will not run on EQ2 sorry. Classic servers on DAoC are the newest servers available. There you don't have to worry about bots, artifacts and long raids, or the free level to 20 system (only people with a lvl 50 can get the free 20). Essentially, the classic server is the most popular and newbie friendly. The problem with DAoC is that you won't be able to run RvR with the video card you have, unless you have a lot of RAM. Lag is terrible in RvR without a good system. They did a graphics upgrade that you can't see in the trial, that makes a world of difference, but also screws those with mediocre systems.
Guild Wars, although I'm no fan, is your best best. Aside from DDO, it is the only game I know of with real quests that don't lead you on a kill X number of Y. You can even run Guild Wars on Dial up if you want. DDO will require a decent machine however.
Ok thanks i might go with guild wars but...
whats Asherons Call or Lineage II like?

Lineage II is definately not what you are looking for! Its a good game (here come the trolls, duck) but it has a tough grind and requires alot of time.
Ashrons Call was a great game when other people played it
Guild Wars is a good choice.
MMO wise, any really. I play EQ2 as a casual player for 1 year, no problem.
People say WoW because of the "xp bonus", but you get that from EQ2 as well.
Lineage II is a very horrible game, by ethical standards. People are really rude, unhelpfull, gankers (not to be confused with PvPers), elitists, and there are more bots than you can shake a stick at. You also won't be able to take part in the best parts of the game until you update your system.
I've never played Asherons Call, but from what I hear of it, I wish I tried it in it's prime. This game you should be able to run without a problem. I think the key to enjoyment in this game if you enjoy social interaction is joining a guild, since the population is very low.
I really think Guild Wars is your best bet for now, but it can be very trying for the mature gamers. I actually would rather play Neverwinter Nights on a Multiplayer server than play Guild Wars, which is what I did until I resubbed to EQ2 and SWG.
Best of luck to you.
I'm nice, so are many of the players of the game who post on this site, I've met several of them ingame.

You should have been there in its prime, sorry you missed it.....this is what MMO's should be striving to improve and build on, not this raiding, grinding kill task crap. To bad Turbine kicked it to the curb years ago.

"The Dude Abides."
Very accurate. DAOC is fun, easy to learn, hard to master pvp (lots of time, won't do it in few weeks). EQ2 is a bit slow to level and see progress past mid teens. However, still plenty of fun.
as a casual gamer though, wow can still keep you busy for half a year until you reach lv60. i think gw for a casual gamer is much less than that.
otherwise i'd suggest eve online - seems to have everything for the hardcore player to the casual one.
i was wondering could i run guild wars Factions on my computer?
And does any body know what the Requirments of Nightfall is?
