  Its only his opinion and if he hasn't played many games before than its legit - for him of course. I wouldn't make this assumption and obviously you either - but many people the "hype-meter" as judging scale eventhough it is clearly marked as 'anticipated'.
  The game is currently in alpha so nobody (probably not even the devs) really knows how the game is going to look like at release.

  I may be missing something but I cant understand why this game is even in the top 10.
  
  Ok, take away its LOTR's, and what have you got left? No PvP, limited classes, only one side to play (the good guys) and no magic.
  
  The magic part is my major problem. Lets face it without casters you have 3 class types left.
  
  TANK: ok you can sqeeze two classes here. Attacking and defending.
  
  Healers: maybe two here if you get a hybrid tank/healer
  
  Rogue: In a none PvP game these are usually really lame imo. They are either never needed or needed in such a way they are protected and never do anything but open doors and disable traps.
  
  So basically I can see this whole game being very bad unless the devs pull their fingure out and add some content.
  Even just adding the bad guys and a bit of PvP. Thats all thats needed and it would be a much much better game.

  Well, I believe they just announced they will have PvP.

  I also think that they do have a "caster" type.  They just don't call it magic because they have to adhere to the lore.
