Computer freezes upon loading client

Hello,

I had unsubscribed to the game a few months ago and wanted to give the game another look (game client was still on my computer). However, when I ran the client after successfully updating the client with the new patch, my computer completely locks-up a few seconds after reaching the starting menu no matter what I do. It ran fine last time I played on my older setup and older patch.

Asustek A7v8x-x

Amd Athlon xp 2700+, ~2.17 Ghz

Ati Radeon 9200 128mb ---------> XFX Geforce 6600 GT 128mb (overclocked) (current)

768 mb Ram (333mhz) ----------> 1 Gb ram (333mhz) (current)

windows xp os, sp2

direct x 9.0c -----------------> direct x 9.0c (recent version)

I have tried using the klients support but it says "only registered users" at this time. Using the "recheck data" feature says it is fine. At a bit of a loss here and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Turn off the overclocking and see what happens.

    Lowering my game resolution in settings seems to have fixed the problem.

    There are also great online and forum information you might want to check out.  I've been playing about a month of so and I personally still have a problem with my game freezing after 5-30 minutes, but it seems due to my ISP which is outside of the game.

    Yep, I have to decline at this time too. I never got past trial because I couldn't stop the freeze factory. I think it is IRQ related on my machine combined with lag and in simple, not one issue but many that make it hard to play.
