3 more days and we get the beta from fileplanet....i cannot wait. This should be a hit and hold me over for the rest of the year and hopefully untill star trek online.
The site only says a suscriber only event starts the 11th. It doesnt really say beta starts then.

Yep, Fileplanet manages to make people play to be in a beta again. I'm so sick of that friggen site. May their servers crash and their code run rampant everytime they try to put it back up.

How exactly does FP make people Pay to play a Beta...do they come to your House and make you use a Credit Card?
I think what he meant was you have to be a subscriber to use their beta events. They charge a few bucks for that subscription. But im not a FP sub.. I dont see why i have to give em money just to get a chance to get into the beta.

Fileplanet didn't make it happen, Codemasters went to them. It's a cheap and easy way for codemasters to distribute their client and get testers. Less money spent on bandwidth for Codemasters the more they can allocate funds toward the game.
This is how it works with any beta that goes through fileplanet.
At $3.33 a month, I find fileplanet to be a great value. Not only for MMO beta opportunities, but fast downloads of gameplay vids, demos, etc. Hit Points to buy games (although old games). Very cheap for what I get.
