Any one else excited about this WoW expansion?

I am and im not a fanboy, blizzard seems like it will finnally deliever on WoWs end game which was the only real bad part of  WoW. If blizzard comes full force with this expansion it could clearly destroy these next gen mmorpgs.

Yes i will be playing a bloodelf not cause they are pretty but because they were my favorite War III race, Kael owns and its ashame he dies in WoW :(

Im bringin sexy back.

OMGWTFNOO....  errr...  hmm...  semi-constructive post, though any topic on WoW tends to catch on fire...

N E Wayz, I'm out when TBC hits.  I've had it.  10 more levels of the same game/same grind/same gear/same crap vs something ANYTHING new.  New wins for me, even if I have to wait.

Look for a 60 Mage, 60 Lock and 60 War on an eBay near you!

I was preety excited about the expansion when I was still playing WoW ( about a month ago ). But after thinking on it abit and after seeing the news about Horde Paladins and Alliance Shamans, ontop of the lack of new Classes, and just new races, ive come to the conclusion that Blizzard dosent care about holding players in for the long run, they just want to keep the line moving. The new races are just another excuse to do the grind all over again, which in turn is to waste time.

Blizzards theory; you dont need to add much REAL ingame content if nobody will reach it.

I think WoW fans should be quite satisfied with the expansion, reading the preview of it it sounds like they're dealing with certain issues. Doubt I'll play it though, I'm thinking of going back for one month to try the cross server BGs and if enjoy the game then then I may buy the expansion. It could be quite good levelling a new character with the expansion;- new areas to level + 2 new classes which will increase the depth of groups a little.

And you shouldn't be. It's a half-ass expansion. The races are lame, flying mounts are a joke, and the new land mass will be more of the same. The good thing is that it will keep most of the morons busy and out of quality games for a while.

I MAY get the expansion to give it a try.  I bought WoW the day it went live, enjoyed it up until this summer.  The lvl 60 stuff just killed it for me.  I am trying to want to like the expansion and the things it will change, but I dont know.

It does feel like more of the same.

I'm not going to bother. There is no point. It's the same crap only now Horde can be paladins and Alliance can be shaman. Which is silly in my opinion. They haven't addressed the problems that plagued the game since release. Nor the promises that they made. No hero classes, static world, no real world PvP. Flying mounts that I can only use in one zone? Whooptyfreakingdoo!

Plus, how are you going to add blood elves and not add the Spellbreaker class? That's as silly as if Blizzard were to add Protos to WoW... Oh wait, nevermind.

  • No.  Blizzard spent all the capital they had with me a long time ago.  The XPack looks like some baby steps in the right direction, but I see nothing that excites me or makes me think it will be substantively better.

Nope, not looking forward to it. I already played WoW for so long and so much that I can't stand to play anymore. I'd rather spend my money on an entire new game then on a WoW expansion.

Not unless I get 100% confirmation from blizzard that the new 25 man dungeons are 1.5-2 hours max and don’t need to be grinded over and over otherwise I am sticking with more casual friendly guild wars.

They keep putting bandages to stop the bleeding they have created with so many stupid concept. (The honor system was the biggest hit, raiding orientation the second one and the complete lack of good world PvP being the cherry on the top.)

The hemorage is starting to grow beyond what their plaster solution can handle.

What deserves to be done, deserves to be "well" done...

I am a WoW fan and I think the expansion is utter sucktitude.  Talk about a huge letdown.  Its been in production for 2 years and they don't manage to bring anything that great to the game.  Here is my impression of the expansion:

Yay the horde has a hot race.

Ooo we can play as any class we want on either side now.

Hey Gem Crafting, just what we need another tradeskills profession.

World Wide PVP, wasn't this suppose to be seen on release?

Flying mounts, it seems like every game coming out in 2006/2007 has flying mounts in it.

More Battlegrounds, high level instances, and new areas to explore.

You have to get to level 70 to compete now.

Now if you ask me, its an extremely bland update and offers nothing new or groundbreaking.  Infact I think I can play through all that content in less then a week and get extremely bored.  There are alot of easy things that can be implemented rather quickly that can add upon gameplay that are suggested to Blizzard every 10 seconds.  It's too bad they don't read thier own suggestion boards to learn about them.

I am thrilled that the raid cap was lowered to 25. Horde Pallies and Alliance Shamans are okay but not a great idea IMHO. The two new races are okay but not great. I'd of been happier with the Pandarians as the new Alliance race and it would of made more sense IMHO. Overall though I could care less in the end because I am burnt out on WoW big time because of the 40 man raids, PvP honor grinding, and annoying l337 speaking boys chatting in the world LFG system right now. I might check the game out again at some point in the distant future but I am having to much fun playing another MMORPG right now and I am done with this game. So no am not that excited with this new expansion.

Games I've played/tried out:WAR, LOTRO, Tabula Rasa, AoC, EQ1, EQ2, WoW, Vangaurd, FFXI, D&DO, Lineage 2, Saga Of Ryzom, EvE Online, DAoC, Guild Wars,Star Wars Galaxies, Hell Gate London, Auto Assault, Grando Espada ( AKA SoTNW ), Archlord, CoV/H, Star Trek Online, APB, Champions Online, FFXIV, Rift Online, GW2.

I agree EQ2 has improved from luanch big time. Which is why I am playing it right now and resubbed. Of course with all the SOE haters and EQ1 players who hate EQ2 because it ain't a EQ1 clone with better graphics you'd never know this was the case. They are though a very vocal minorty IMHO. Check the game out and see if you like it. Visit the forums and ask questions .Oh and yes there are no lame Chuck Noris joke spams in public chat channels thank god !! In fact the channels are pretty tame and useful for LFGing, LFW'ing etc..

People are bored with WOW - and expansion is not bringing little new. Just adressing some problems that should be solved long time ago.
