    No, not true

as far as i know, the classic server Gareth is growing. Is the largest server right now. DAoC is still alive and the community is very nice. One of the best that i have ever seen in a MMO.

There are 3 classic servers.  Gareth is the first and by far the most populated.  The other two are clustered.  If any classic servers are losing population, the clustered two are because even together, their population is low.  My guess is that Gareth's population is growing from people leaving the other two classic servers.

Having said that, it's really no surprise that folks would begin leaving the classic servers to return to the regular servers.  DAOC is constantly in flux, which is not a bad thing, and sometimes the things that seemed the most important just aren't so anymore.  The adverse effects of TOA may be fading with the introduction of Champion levels and equipment.

Many people have gone back to playing other characters on other servers.  At the same time people on other servers come to the classic servers.  Gareth is really the only one with a decent population.  I would not worry about that server loosing a lot of people anytime soon.
