You can never start with the wrong class.
I actually got every single skill and beat the game five times before the expansion came out. I had max gold, best items... and then just gave my account away.

It's fun, but after a while it loses it's flair.
I started with "Factions" maybe that is the problem. Plus, I have not had much time to play it (only about 12hrs in 2 weeks). I do like the Oriental influences in Factions. They are a nice change from the other games I have played....OK, SWG and WoW are the only other games I hace played.
I know I know shut up noob

In Factions there's the emo assassin and the Rit... which pretty much both suck IMHO.
buy it i bought it long time ago and played it hard core... then things in real life came up and i had to stop for quite a long time. i didnt pay subscription and when everything came back toguether i reinstalled the game and bam right off where i left off.

Actuly Dude The Rt can be pretty good with the rite build witch iv seen people with..And actuly they are very usefull in a Ab and GvG..Assinssin well i made one they do nice dmg but they lack in Def..Dont get me wrong some of the Def skills they use are very usefull for a amount of time but once that time expirse ur dead meat
Get it, even if it does get boring after a few months you can always come back to it. I have logged almost 700 hours in 14 months, which is not alot, but you can drop it and pick it up and that's why I stuck with it.

Nightfall isnt even out yet. But i would reccomend prohecies 1st to get the game down. Then later get factions.

I do think GW is worth buying it for the simple fact that it doesnt have any monthly fee and its a great game, but I dont think you'll get a very objective poll when you post it in GW forums...

I don't really think that's the accurate way of thinking about GW. Would people play Counter Strike or StarCraft if it had a monthly cost? Battlefield 2? Don't think it would be that kind of a hit with a monthly cost. The same with GW.

GW is very addicting if you rnt a total noob at it. I've seen people who don't even know how to pass the noob zone. Anyways, you should get the first chapter of GW, you will surely have more fun than in Factions GW. People beat Factions in weeks or even days and their only option will be that they should have to buy first chapter of GW anyway if they wouldn't want to quit. The PvP is bad in GW but PvE is pretty much more interesting than it is in other games, the graphics are really nice. I myself have played the game for nearly 900 hours and I could say that the game is really worth its price.
It is a good game because it does not take a lot of time to get to the top lvl, though it takes time to max your gear, and there is no monthly fee. So you don't feel like you are wasting money if you go a few weeks or months where you don't log in a whole lot.

Plus the game itself is fun.
