I think it's good to get a froob account until that offer ends, and then you will know if you like the game, and it will give you time to get to know the game also. The game is worth the money if you decide to buy it afterwards.
And if you are after a good, free, long lasting game you won't find one. Your better off to spend money on a game thats worth your time. If you have no money, then mmorpgs aren't for you.
Unless of course you just want a free game that will keep you busy for an hour here and there (which is fine), but you will not find a real quality game for free, it's just that simple.

You know, most free mmos are Korean grinders, for if you're looking for a "free forever game", then I hope you're ok with a game based mainly around grinding and pvp. That being said, the best by far free grinder out there right now is Silkroad Online. It has great graphics, and an interesting job system. At level 20 you can chose to be a thief, a hunter, or a trader. Traders travel in caravans with hunters protecting them from town to town, thieves try to rob the caravans. Its great fun, I played SRO when it first came out, ended up quitting just because I coudln't stand the grind anymore. Still, worth checking out.
Yep tried it, it is pretty cool, but im downloading Anarchy Online found the free one, if I don't like it i'll try what that one guy said that Ryzom game, but I did like Silkroad I might end up going back to that, thx guys for all of your help, so for your help i'll give all of you a smiling sticker , oh I could only put one, well all of you will have to split it, be far now.
Anarchy Online is fairly complex too. You don't only upgrade armor and weapons, but implants too. There are quite a few professions to choose from and when you actually go into a store, you will be amazed at all the specialized booths of items to choose from. There is a couple mods you are going to want to. Clicksaver being the most important. You go to mission booths and can choose a mission you want to run. Clicksaver allows you to see the prize loot after completing the mission. The subway is interesting too. Plus AO his it's own radio station.
